Another big home match against an in-form opposition. Think we owe them one after letting them beat us when they were shit. Last few weeks we've both been somewhat less shit... scoring goals at least. Sol on the touchline should be an experience for the Paddock.

Hopefully any disagreements Sheridan and Grainger may have had can be put to bet with another win. I still think it's all a load of nothing, managers and players sometimes argue, it was just made to seem more serious than it was by James Phillips' strange line of questioning following the Oldham game. We all know that Sheridan secretly doesn't like winning games because then he can't have a moan afterwards and so JP identified something he was unhappy about and dug and dug until he got Sheridan to talk about what it might take for him to quit.

In other news, new Mansfield director of football Greg Abbott will be a guest of honour at tomorrow's match, having recovered from cancer.

The Notts win took its toll on our squad so we'll be forced into playing a much weaker team than the one that has been in such good form recently. A narrow defeat would be acceptable, anything else would be a very welcome bonus.

Stephens injured and in a protective boot (the County player responsible actually tried rolling around to get Stephens in trouble), means we're having to start Maycock and Arthur. Just beed Lloyd to get injured and replaced with Vincenti to get us back to the midfield and forward line of our terrible pre-resurgence form (admittedly Rose has personally improved).

Also can't field a full bench with all the injuries now.

Lost in the end but as no one else down near the bottom managed to win, nothing really changes. Not a bad performance by all accounts. Hoping for at least 4 points from the Tranmere & Swindon games.

Started similar to the Oldham match, but this time went behind to a good gol. We then came into it and were the better team for rest of fst half. Deservedly levelat half time

Second half Macc were better, we were pretty average, but stayed in the game & nicked it at the end. Important win

Yeah, definitely miles better than a relegation candidate. Lots of pressing and a good workrate, for spells of the game you were on top.

Sol's got us playing much better as a unit all across the pitch. He needs backing in Jan to bring some better quality in though.
