Had to be done and I hope the players get everything they are owed as soon as possible. All this trouble was inevitable once we made so many January signings without getting rid of the previous players. Clearly a club of our size can't afford a squad of 32 players, especially during the close season when there's no money coming in to pay them.

Whats happened with Durrell? it seems to have gone very quiet at our end, and I don't think that he is amongst the trialists we are looking at.

Why are the EFL sanctioning the new signings in the current situation? They usually embargo dont they? They did with us just before we went into administration for instance once the winding up order was served by the HMRC.

I don't usually take a lot of notice of UV

Got some things right I guess!

As for Macc, there was a Macc fan waxing lyrical about our press volunteer advert on Twitter the other day for not paying them a wage!

Not in turmoil "again", it's still the same shit storm from 6 months ago.

I genuinely believe we won't start this season.

Trying to be optimistic here.... I think we should be able to cut our costs substantially if we can get the squad size down to 20 or so. Hopefully we will then avoid these current problems but we'll have to wait and see. Making better use of the loan market would make good financial sense for us.

A lot of the off field damage can't be repaired though - especially the relationship between the owner and the fans which is pretty non existent by now. His approach to the match day experience is really testing the patience of spectators and staff alike. Even if tomorrow's court case is successful, there are still a lot of changes that need to be made behind the scenes.

Very sad to see Macclesfield Town in this way.

This might sound a bit left-field but surely Sol isn't short of a few bob, or has contacts?

Could be a possible solution...

What's sol having a few bob got to do with it, he's working at a professional football club. Imagine going into work and having to pay towards things just so you can do your job.

Bit catty, was only a suggestion.

Main thing is that hopefully they will overcome their issues, Bolton look to be hopefully over the worst of their issues with a new owner so there is hope for them.

Edit: As Sol has mentioned the lack of opportunities for BAME people in authority within the game, what better an opportunity to increase their participance than by him talking to some of his BAME friends and associates to help out the club at which he's done an incredible job.

Maybe we can form a mini Phoenix league and play each other every week while we wait to be admitted to non-leagure where we both belong?

It's shocking! How can they possibly think that's an ok way to go about things. Also, these players were not getting paid while they were still at the club anyway!

That is very poor if that is the way employees are treated. Hope it gets sorted soon.

Interesting statement. I am no expert on contract law but I suspect legally the club is on a very sticky wicket.

I don’t get the relevance of some of the Petitioning players not having played or are no longer with the club.

If you are not paying some players how can you recruit new players? Can anyone shed light on this please.

I think that only the owner can find any relevance to the reasoning. I think that I can speak on behalf of all Macc fans in saying that we are baffled and embarrased by the statement.
