1600 now sold and another 500 requested, meaning we’ll have had a total of 2500. Will that be our lot?

Yes it's stipulated Final allocation of 2,500.
I don't know whether to congratulate or commiserate the 1,600 so far.

But did you bet on it ? Hindsight is a wonderful thing especially when it doesn’t involve your own team Vanni .

As you know , the fact is on this forum there are literally dozens and dozens of predictions week in week out so some people are going to be right and more so wrong . So many in fact most go in one ear and out the other and a very forgettable.

How many posts have there been from Macclesfield, Cambridge , Port Vale , and Crawley fans stating their own club was definitely getting relegated . I lost count a couple of months ago .

I’ve literally read dozens of predictions regarding Notts matches from non Notts fans and their strike rate is appalling haha

Viking mate, why are you always going on about betting? Just in case you haven't heard, one can predict something, anything in fact, without putting money on it. And another thing, just because somebody thinks x will beat y doesn't mean that one wants it to happen.

Anyway, no I didn't put any money on Macc winning at Vale only because I think people should bet only for fun and not see it a way of making some extra cash. Myself, I wasn't enjoying it anymore so i thought I'd take a little break. My decision's got nothing to do with winning or losing money (though tbh it was more the latter ;) ) - doing something repeatedly gets boring after a while.

I had the choice of the County Ground on Saturday afternoon and almost inevitable doom and gloom or a paid for 4 course Michelin Star Italian meal with accompanying wines in the capital.

Special food over not special football won out. Should cheer me up a little after the final whistle

1600 sold so far. Further allocation requested. For a nothing game our relegation is a formality. Our support this season has been incredible given the circumstances.

BBC reporting our players have not been paid again, ideal going into Saturday. And people will still continue to praise our glorious owner.

I wonder what would happen if they did what Bolton have. That'd certainly kick the efl and pfa into action pronto

Always thought we’d take a decent following if there was any chance of stopping up. At least we know where Swindon is, which probably won’t be the case for most away games next season.

Because a fair few people on here like sports betting in particular this level of football .

You missed my main point , there a dozens and dozens of predictions on here every week . If you cast enough lines , you’ll catch a fish . If you throw enough stones , you’ll hit a cat .

In other words , I don’t want to say I told you so.... followed by then doing just that don’t carry much if any weight in my eyes .

Our players were out on the piss yesterday - not good news for Notts fans!

I’d hope a few beers on a Tuesday wouldn’t affect a player on the Saturday, but I suppose when you’re relying on others results you are a bit fucked.

Our players can't afford to get pissed as they don't get paid. 3D chess by Macc.

Impossible to say what, if any, effect the pay issue will have (our local paper has described it as a ‘survival boost’ for us!), but it doesn’t look like you’ve particularly downed tools when it happened before. Last time our squad wasn’t paid we went on a 10-match club record losing streak!

What’s the mood like in Macc ahead of the game?

Not sure how it will affect players for Saturday exactly; definitely will have a massively negative effect on keeping/recruiting players in the summer no matter whatever league we're in.

I think mood amongst Macc fans on Saturday night was optimistic but as the days go by the worry has increased. Online discussions between fans are seemingly as much focused on arguments between pro- and anti-owner fans than the weekend.

Not according to a couple of deluded Stags fans it seems :dk: 3rd highest in our worst ever season!

It’s one game of football where they can end up hero or villains so I can’t see it having an immediate impact against the hungover Cambridge lot

Your home support is great. Your away support is fairly poor in comparison. Your average home attendance is also helped by what an appealing away day Notts is in fairness.
To be honest all the attendance talk is silly really. I respect anyone attending any game at this level with the cost and availability of premier league football so easily on tv.

Let them have some fun, it’ll be 4 from Dover next season! They might actually miss the 4000 stags fans!

That’s all I wanted to hear Lborostag, Notts home support is great , our away support is fairly poor in comparison.

Which is the exact opposite of Mansfield Town FC.

Totally agree about all the people who get over excited by attendances especially at this level. You have a certain Stags fan calling away followings of other clubs pathetic , which is laughable when you think about it. A Mansfield fan calling out pathetic support of other clubs :ffs:

Who wouldn’t we miss the Big Day Out and 4000 Stag fans? Every season it was a huge chunk of change for the club whoever was in charge. Always grateful.

I’ve seen the Meadow Lane away end full to capacity dozens of times, by two dozen different clubs from the Prem to L2. We’ve had the great times , we can have the awful times and a handful of away fans.

That’s football. I’d rather have that than an away end that limits the away followings and prevents easy money for the club ;)

That’s why we are bottling promotion, we wouldn’t know what to do with Sunderland!

Exactly my thoughts, though I'm not so sure about drinking on Friday doing players any harm either! Didn't the players of your nearest and dearest club do exactly that when Clough was their manager in the late 70's and won them two ECs?

In that spirit, all Cambridge players should be required to have at least seven pints with their lunch on Saturday. It won't do them any harm.

Haha. I was only kidding on the Friday night drinking stuff, but not on the Cloughie bit. I seem to remember reading about the Forest players antics (or to be precise, Clough's unorthodox ways) during their glory years and I think one of the odd things they did was to go out drinking on Friday nights.

I’ve always taken the Cloughie drinking stories with a large dollop of salt.

Getting pissed the night before a cup final? sells books I suppose.
