I have a horrible feeling that we'll bottle it.
I have a feeling we both will.
I have a horrible feeling that we'll bottle it.
But did you bet on it ? Hindsight is a wonderful thing especially when it doesn’t involve your own team Vanni .
As you know , the fact is on this forum there are literally dozens and dozens of predictions week in week out so some people are going to be right and more so wrong . So many in fact most go in one ear and out the other and a very forgettable.
How many posts have there been from Macclesfield, Cambridge , Port Vale , and Crawley fans stating their own club was definitely getting relegated . I lost count a couple of months ago .
I’ve literally read dozens of predictions regarding Notts matches from non Notts fans and their strike rate is appalling haha
I had the choice of the County Ground on Saturday afternoon and almost inevitable doom and gloom or a paid for 4 course Michelin Star Italian meal with accompanying wines in the capital.
Special food over not special football won out. Should cheer me up a little after the final whistle
BBC reporting our players have not been paid again, ideal going into Saturday. And people will still continue to praise our glorious owner.
Always thought we’d take a decent following if there was any chance of stopping up. At least we know where Swindon is, which probably won’t be the case for most away games next season.
Viking mate, why are you always going on about betting? Just in case you haven't heard, one can predict something, anything in fact, without putting money on it. And another thing, just because somebody thinks x will beat y doesn't mean that one wants it to happen.
Anyway, no I didn't put any money on Macc winning at Vale only because I think people should bet only for fun and not see it a way of making some extra cash. Myself, I wasn't enjoying it anymore so i thought I'd take a little break. My decision's got nothing to do with winning or losing money (though tbh it was more the latter ) - doing something repeatedly gets boring after a while.
Our players can't afford to get pissed as they don't get paid. 3D chess by Macc.
Impossible to say what, if any, effect the pay issue will have (our local paper has described it as a ‘survival boost’ for us!), but it doesn’t look like you’ve particularly downed tools when it happened before. Last time our squad wasn’t paid we went on a 10-match club record losing streak!
What’s the mood like in Macc ahead of the game?

1600 sold so far. Further allocation requested. For a nothing game our relegation is a formality. Our support this season has been incredible given the circumstances.

Your home support is great. Your away support is fairly poor in comparison. Your average home attendance is also helped by what an appealing away day Notts is in fairness. Not according to a couple of deluded Stags fans it seems 3rd highest in our worst ever season!
Let them have some fun, it’ll be 4 from Dover next season! They might actually miss the 4000 stags fans!Your home support is great. Your away support is fairly poor in comparison. Your average home attendance is also helped by what an appealing away day Notts is in fairness.
To be honest all the attendance talk is silly really. I respect anyone attending any game at this level with the cost and availability of premier league football so easily on tv.

That’s why we are bottling promotion, we wouldn’t know what to do with Sunderland!Who wouldn’t we miss the Big Day Out and 4000 Stag fans? Every season it was a huge chunk of change for the club whoever was in charge. Always grateful.
I’ve seen the Meadow Lane away end full to capacity dozens of times, by two dozen different clubs from the Prem to L2. We’ve had the great times , we can have the awful times and a handful of away fans.
That’s football. I’d rather have that than an away end that limits the away followings and prevents easy money for the club
I’d hope a few beers on a Tuesday wouldn’t affect a player on the Saturday, but I suppose when you’re relying on others results you are a bit fucked.
