A 2 hour journey with a little 10 minute sojourn in the beautiful, cosmopolitan city of Lincoln, should not be the difference between going to Doncaster one year and not Nottingham the next. I suppose it depends how lily-livered you are.

That was really cold. Absolute horseshit football match too, both teams making basic errors all over the place. Grimsby has a couple of half chances early on, Ameobi probably should’ve scored right at the end, nowt else really happened. Still, point’s a point.

Pig of a game Grimsby came and did a job without really looking forward threatening Notts seemed to be trying to score the perfect goal and over passing.

Point was the fair result. Notts fans booing at full time should be ashamed of themselves. Gritty useful point second in the league and one home defeat in 2017. What some people expect I'll never know we arnt barcafuckinglona.

Fair play to Grimsby, they matched us physically and deserved the point.
Our weaknesses were exposed today. Short of movement up top and pace.
Noble has done a fantastic job, but we've gone about as far as we can go with the squad as it is, it needs freshening up or we run the risk of slipping into mid table form and gradually declining which would be a shame as we have massively over performed so far.

I have a mouth full...Luke Summerfield has stuffed my words back into it. I've called him a non-footballer, first touch is as subtle as the Sex Pistols...controls it further than I can kick it etc. I think I also called him a poor man's John Cockerill, well today he was just like John Cockerill...

Zak Mills excellent as well.
If we can have a good transfer window, move some players out and get some real quality in up front, some cover for full back get a fighting fit Jamie Osborne back, we can push for top 7. Don't we'll do the transfer bit sadly...

Thought it was a poor game with very little chances. The best being Matt in the first half and Ameobi’s header near the end. Thought Ameobi was County’s best player too. Dickinson was a massive twat, going over at every opportunity. I now have absolutely no clue how we’ll get on against Luton!

Fwiw, I thought yesterday was one of Summerfield’s poorer games this season.

Well if his engine has been better than yesterday he would give Mo Farah a contest...

His improvement could be down to physical condition, his energy is oustanding - maybe the Sports Science bloke we now have is making a difference. I'd like to see him alongside a more creative midfielder.

Dicko has to do something to compensate for being such a, err, limited footballer.

Boring 0-0 between two dull sides, very predictable nothing to see here.

County will fall away after Christmas no doubt about it. Good season so far but a very limited side helped it so far this season by plenty of refereeing decisions.

Grimsby overachieving massively Slade's done a brilliant job so far as many had them down as relegation fodder. Bottom 8 finish once Dembele goes in Jan is likely.

Rather a boring 0-0 than a 1-4 defeat and a dirty player sent off.

Quite happy with being dull and beating the division's mediocre sides 4-1 and stuff tbh.

Not sure why many had us down as possible relegation candidates. The players we had/Have are solid if uninspiring, with several good ones and a couple of shit ones. And for the shit I gave Slade a couple of months ago, he’s got us playing much better and scoring (yesterday the exception).

You and fish were both screaming for him to be sacked a couple of months ago. Must be so embarrassing for you both now when you win and you comment on the match.

We'd have beat County with 11 men we were peppering them until the sending off. Very average side, still riding on the Nolan factor, will finish between 8th-12th.

If you can find where I said it, then I’ll gladly hold my hands up. It’s not as if we’re now flying high at the top - a couple of defeats against Luton and Mansfield could see us right back down there. What’s embarrassing about that?

As for you, BT2F beats you in all categories.

Nope.

Anything else?

Didn't expect you to have any shame actually. That would take a backbone.

Yes, actually. Did you see any of your recent AGM meeting? Some circus that, so amateur everyone arguing.

AND fenty confirming Hurst left because of all the personal abuse he received from fans throughout the promotion season. Contrary to what you lot say on here. Worth a watch for sure.

Aye, John Fenty is known for being 100% and truthful.

Way to contradict yourself too.

Yes I did and like all the Grimsby fans on here I agreed that it was embarrassing and that Fenty is a knob.

So your point being........?

I think you may be wrong about our final league position Impish, as the chairman has said we are going to strengthen during the window. We are limited but only because we've an ageing strike force. Nolan has been pretty good with his signings so far and I've every faith in him getting it right next month.

Fenty promised him a strength and conditioning coach and then reneged...

Fan abuse - hmm yes there was some, expectations were high after Operation Promotion, but if a manager can't take it he shouldn't be in the business. At Shrewsbury he got brand new training facilities and a bigger coaching / conditioning team. Also true he won't get much abuse if they lose a few away games badly, not many Shrewsbury fans go to them.
