And my point is not an ‘nhs’ deserve wages stuff. Just a point to show how out of depth football wages have become compared to other jobs in other professions.

non league players on £50-60000 a year
L2 players on £65000-200000 a year
L1 players on £100000-250000 a year

etc etc and people wonder why all clubs have massive annual losses

they should simply have cut wages across board, players able to leave if unhappy with the wages.PFA have a choice of accepting or will be no clubs for players to sign for anyway

I am just highlighting the fact that football players at L2 level get paid as Ridiculous levels of money as other levels and football at this level could be easily sustainable but isn’t simply down to everyone paying over the top sums to very poorly skilled people in this profession.

simply basic annual wage levels across different leagues would make the whole sport more viable, but instead it’s all over the shop.

It has had 15 years to say ‘enough is enough’ and done nothing. To have surgeons on a maybe half of the annual wage of a few level 4 footballers is absurd........more so when it never balances its books in normal times and has to beg the top flight all the time.

hopefully this is finally a chance for change, probably won’t, government ain’t bailing this one out
All a capping will do is destroy not only the EFL but English football. It would collapse the entire system as happens in any industry with Govt pr outside interference and regs. We are a fan owned club, we owe no debt, we can afford to pay our players the wages we do. We can afford to pay our star players well above average salary. Why interfere? Because poorly run clubs can't? Let them die on the hill that they deserve to. Punishing properly and well managed clubs for poor business sense is madness.

The point makes no sense. You're comparing public sector wages to private sector wages.

We don't have massive annual losses either so why categorise poorly run clubs with better run clubs?

If players are not happy with their wages dont sign on the dotted line. Bloody hell

the non-league ones a bit high - our average wage last season was £750/week and on a 42 week contract, which worked out at £31,500 average wage. Some clubs like Notts County probably were paying the range you said though.

And rightly so? Why should a team like Notts C be forced to a similar wage bill to you? They've got a higher wage bill than most of league 2, and there's nothing wrong with that...

Yes they are.

No doctors and nurses shouldn't be paid more.

They have the choice to go private if they want more money. Don't take more taxes from an already ridiculous high tax country! Largest tax burden in over 50 years pre Covid. Tax is essentially theft, anyone arguing for higher taxes is morally bankrupt.

Ohhhhhhhhh, you're the Rees-Mogg guy? I should've known.

If the government clamped down on all the corporate tax avoidance going on then maybe public sector workers could get better wages.

Anyone that thinks NHS workers are paid enough need to give their head a wobble. Fuck sake these people are the life savers.

Corp tax takings have gone up since 2010 since they've been lowered.

Quelle surprise and point proven.

But on a more unrelated note, if avoidance monies are saved it should be given back to the payer, the tax payers, not an excuse to overspend elsewhere.

Public sector workers are already overpaid with an annual increase guaranteed (Excluding pensions - let's talk on this too...?), regardless of worth.

Increased takings following a rate cut doesn't "prove" anything unless you factor in average corporate profits across that time period, as well as inflation and other variables.

A basic inflationary pay increase doesn't make public sector workers "overpaid" either, such rises are also common across much of the private sector.

You literally don't know what you're talking about (See attached). Re overpaid workers, nowt to do with inflation. That was in relation to 'never getting a pay rise' despite it happening annual. Literally. Always been overpaid. See PRIVM.

Your graph doesn't "prove" anything other than that takings have gone up over time, unless you genuinely believe that correlation implies causation which is a logical fallacy children are taught to avoid at GCSE level.

Salford have a bigger sugar daddy than our sugar daddy. Its right that they pay their players more.

Thats the same argument that often gets spouted about we have more fans than you so we should be able to pay more in wages than you.

Life ain't fair. Get over it but remember. When the inequality gets too large the peasants start appearing at your gated properties with pitchforks and burning torches.

Tory c*** spouting Tory bollocks.

I bet you can go all night.

Probably think the American insurance system is better than the NHS as well.
Majority is a pain aint it. We aint all vegan eating antifa here fella.

Tory is no longer an insult, but throw it at me. Happy to be publicly against legalised theft and stealing people's money. Ill shout that till the cows go home (not sure if that's a vegan lefty friendly saying?) But being retarded enough to think Obama(a hard leftie) is comparable to the NHS shows nothing more than a severe lack of brain cells.

Thinking we are the only country with a deformed, inefficient, over priced health care system proves you haven't left your carrot bedroom in years.

Duel systems work wonders. I've needed the NHS under critical conditions, it IS shite. I was on a 3 month waiting list that turned into 14 months before I turned private. Night and day when the service when you actually pay the staff on efficiency and outcome

See attached my scars from dealing with an NHS that's inefficient, expensive and not worth a penny.

I couldn't walk and I've got some ill-educated vegan lad promoting the NHS. Not a scooby. The NHS is mandatory funded with appalling service. Any worldwide study backs it. You want WTEX stats?

I hope somebody working in a hospital in Devon reads this. I would tell you to get a taxi to the nearest private hospital no matter what was wrong with you.

Yeah, crack on. But tax is theft and the NHS is one of the most poorly run and expensive systems in the world.

Sheltered people like yourself think no country has a better system. Its beyond embarrassing. Head. In. Sand.

Let me know if you want to argue on cheap, efficency or output and ill beat your communist ass on it all

Mr Venture Capitalist, where do you think you get the Dr and Nurses to work in these private hospitals
Without the national health you would have no Private Hospitals

There you go Devon Lad. Even Masi51 thinks you are a tool. Whatever i might think of his views on football i could never disagree with him on that.
