How much have City spent to get their squad to that point? Twice as much as United.

How do you figure? Please include numbers this time since those who (quite rightly) are debating you have documented the support for the contents of Manchester United's squad being more expensive than the contents of Manchester City's squad.

Funny to notice how your attacks on City have changed from them being failures to this nonsensical assertion that, despite the contrarian evidence, Manchester City have still spent more on their squad than Manchester United.

I'm a little confused by people claiming with confidence that United have little chance of winning anything in the coming seasons. Things can change quite quickly. Especially when you've got serious financial clout and a manager with a proven track record.

Never claimed with confidence that United have little chance of winning anything in the coming seasons, just that they are in a worst position than Manchester City to do so.

I've said it a million times before, but United have always paid for success, yes they had a good youth team in the mid 90's but that was largely luck, I doubt you'll ever see an academy like that again.. Well unless United pay for it.

If I recall rightly I said on TFF that United wouldn't win the league in the next 2-3 seasons and probably even at all whilst Van Gaal is at the helm. I stand by that, both Chelsea and City (despite the latter struggling this season) are too strong and will remain so. Cup runs are different though, I certainly wouldn't rule United out of a domestic cup triumph in the same timeframe.
