A rare Saturday evening kick off. Let's hope the fans don't mess that up, the last evening game I went to of this fixture there were bottles being thrown outside the ground.

I'm weirdly confident about this one, I'm never usually confident about this game. That means a loss or a draw.

My pants must really smell then as I've had the same teams for 25+ years. ;)

Both teams are shit, I can see this being a drab 1 - 1, which both will take.

Can't see us winning without Coutinho. 2-0 to United

I think Liverpool might sneak this with a penalty or dodgy goal.

One thing is for sure, we'll put up a better display than we did against West Ham. We were fucking shocking. Might be enough to bag a draw, United are almost as inconsistent and drab as we are.

A tight home win or a draw is my bet. I'm going for 2-1.

Possibly the big man Benteke could be out too - up to super Danny Ings! :ffs::lol:

I think that could work in your favor, you will have to play a wide game and therefore more crosses for Benteke?

Rather than play through United with Countinho

Norwich has created more chances than both sides - hopefully they both display quality in a match which can give either side momentum for a Champions League place. It looks like Henderson is a doubt in addition to missing Coutinho, which means the like of Can and Firmino will need to assert themselves. Benteke can bully Blind defensively and keep United under pressure - Blind passes the ball more often than any player in the side. Schweinsteiger, who was disastrous under pressure at Swansea, will have a big challenge.

1-1.

Definitely winnable. Depends on how we set up and if Benteke gets any support. 'Spus has identified two obvious areas we could exploit, but neither team has been anything like that impressive, our half at Arsenal is the best either has produced. Something similar on Saturday could give us the win.

Prediction? No idea.

He'll come in, score a brace and leave Bwodge with even less of a clue how to set up his teams in future!

Looking to be one of the worst rags v scousers game ever in recent history with what we have seen from both teams this season, both teams trying to consolidate 4th place so early in the season, probably more interesting to watch Neville v carragher on sky sports.

It'll come down to the stronger performing defence. Thespus raises a good point about Benteke bullying Blind, that'll commit Smalling and create gaps. Still think Liverpool's defence will struggle more.

Such arrogance after only four league games - City fans have become everything they used to claim to hate :(

I don't think we'll win but I could see us snatching a draw which would be an ok result.

I see Rooney is in the papers talking about using this game to end his league goal drought. Best hope they get a penalty then, it appears to be the only way he can find the net these days.

If we do start Martial I can't see Van Gaal changing the formation to a 442. He's said this season that he wants a fast, goal-scoring number ten to play behind the striker - he tried Depay there but obviously wasn't convinced. He's also been using a 4231 which leads me to think he has this in mind...

Mata Martial Depay

Be interesting to see who wins the battle with Shaw and Gomez or is it Clyne at right back?
