We could start Sturridge. He will probably score 5 goals past them, and get injured for rest of the season. Not worth it. Draw would be a good result for us, especially without Coutinho.

Liverpool are pretty much the only team to have looked less convincing than us so far this season, we should be beating them at home without any problems.

Unless the lino and ref conspire to gift them goals and write off any the opposition dare to score again, of course.

If United start with Young and Fellaini, then 2-0 to them.
If they line up as following, 1-6.

Let throw in Mr. Martial.

We won't. He's only just started training with the rest of the squad this week. Bench possibly.

Looks like Ings may be coming in for Coutinho, he's been used with Benteke in training. I'd assume he'd stick with the 4-3-3 but I'd prefer the diamond if he is coming in, Firmino at the tip & Lucas at the base.

Looks like Rooney will miss out through injury.

Would be humourous if van Gaal started Fellaini up front on his own.

Why? He can't do any worse than Rooney has so far.

He's a threat in the box and Depay is a superb crosser, it makes sense.

May have to delete my William Hill account. Logged in tonight and I got a message from them offering 3/1 on Rooney scoring and Man Utd to win!! Not happy!

Apparently we will start the same team that played against West Ham - just Ings in for Coutinho.

Yep, I'm all for Fellaini starting this one, his end product is really good and we've lacked any physical presence upfront so far. It'll be interesting to if Rooney's injury means Wilson isn't going out on loan now, I'd like to see him involved tomorrow.

I don't see Liverpool getting better than a draw. As average as United are going forward they can at least defend.

0-0.

United to have 70% possession and do nothing with it, Liverpool to create little without Coutinho, fans everywhere wishing they could have two hours of their lives back. I'll still watch it though, natch.

Fellaini starting up top for United, looks like Van Hoof Ball.

De Gea
Darmian Smalling Blind Shaw
Carrick Schweinsteiger
Mata Herrera Depay
Fellaini
Subs - Romero, McNair, Rojo, Schneiderlin, Valencia, Young, Martial.

Happy with that. Fellaini should be able to bully Liverpool's lacklustre defence - he'll do a better job up front for us than Rooney has so far this season too. I would have preferred to see Schneiderlin next to either Carrick or Schweinsteiger though, I'm not too fond of them playing together.

Fuck all this passing lark with Fellaini and Benteke up top this is going to be like a rugby game. :D

That United team looks very beatable, I feel slightly optimistic going into this now.

Looks like Van Gaal is going to go with experience in defensive midfield for the big games, I wish he'd just play Schneiderlin every time though.

They are, considering Newcastle got a point. But surely they will raise their game against us.

It does - but so does that Liverpool side with that back 4 and Coutinho and Sturridge missing.

Leaving Schneiderlin on the bench! MADNESS! Fortunately (for Utd) it's still a quality midfield. I think Fellaini can really hurt Liverpool if Mata and Depay help him by making moves into the box. Quite like the look of the Liverpool lineup, Lucas aside, given the players they have out.

Surprised that Young doesn't start considering Fellani is up top.

Never thought I'd be more excited to watch Palace vs. Man City on replay than Manchester United vs. Liverpool.
