A stamp on the head is far worse than an elbow. The former is even banned in MMA and that is without studs. I can't definitively say whether or not Mings meant it, it looks much worse in slow motion and he wasn't looking at Zlatan's head during the jump - it might have been a misjudged jump. Either way it was reckless play and deserved a straight red.
Pride was great, but under unified rules of MMA today (not just UFC) kicking a downed opponent in the head is illegal. I think they allow it in Glory kickboxing and ONE FC mind you. I don't recall many stamps in Pride either, though there were a lot of head punts.By MMA I'm assuming you meant UFC, it was the other way around in Pride FC. God I miss that promotion, far better.
And just for the record I didn't say an elbow was worse than a stamp.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/20833433Stamping on someones head is potentially life threatening, it was disgusting.
Looks accidental to me. Zlatan's elbow though, tut tut.
Looks accidental but extremely careless to me. Should have apologised.
