I hope it's a good game but both teams will probably be more intent on not losing rather than trying to win. Not very entertaining.

I did suggest we go to the rugby club early for a bit of the pre-match social before France vs England but my other half pointed out that the United / Liverpool match is a lunchtime kick off so it will probably be shown on the big screen.

Rubbish. Both United and Liverpool will want 2nd or 3rd to avoid qualification in the CL. And with Spurs playing well it would be stupid for either team not to view this game as a chance to increase their chances of getting one of those spots. A draw for either team doesn't help in this respect

I think the new rules states top 4 from England go right through to the group stage(by virtue of their position on the UEFA coefficient table). I could be wrong though
