Spurs bedding in Moura over 6 months and having a focused Alderwereld are like new signings.

Be a huge win for Spurs this

I'm not often wrong, but delighted to be so in this case.

Your record certainly speaks for itself, I'll give you that.

We're shit.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Operation 'sacked with a fucking huge payoff in the third season' is going well for Jose then...

No he's not, he's just in the wrong back line. He need someone vocal next to him, there are many CBs like that.

I haven't seen enough evidence to suggest he is good enough to play for Man Utd, one of the top 15-20 teams in the UK.

Tbh I don't think Man Utd have played Mourinho 'bad' tonight. So lets keep him for a bit longer shall we.

Jesus, some fans actually applauding Mourinho back at the end there.

Out of the last 16 shots faced on De Gea, he's only saved 4. Better start making them again if he wants parity with Alexis wages...

Even worse, fans in United shirts getting Lucas in for a selfie by the tunnel

Hurry up super league.

I did say that Eriksen was pretty much nowhere in my half-time post. He got a hand in all 3 goals.
Frankly I feel bad for Mourinho right now. United were beaten by a side far better than them. Sure Pogba could have played better but honestly the sheer quality player was not exactly equal in my view.

WTF was Mourinho doing at the end there. Man United will get a lot of stick for that but they didn't play all that bad in the first half, Lukaku scores that sitter and it's a totally different game. Spurs wont get the credit they deserve though, great away performance and I think people have underestimated the importance of continuity within a football club, all the players are at great ages too only improving. This season might be a more interesting title race than last...

Indeed. And how incredibly immense was Alderweireld tonight? Extraordinary.

Of course I'm in dreamland, of course I'm happier than a pig in sh*t, I don't think anyone saw this coming. You could have retired on the proceeds if you had a lumpy bet on this scoreline. Away from the inevitable hysteria about Mourinho's future and Tottenham's potential after this game, the facts are this;

1) Man Utd were the better team first half, yes we should have got a pen but Utd should have been ahead by a goal with the chances they created.

2) Goals change games, how many times have we seen a goal transform a team on the ropes to a team on top? Tottenham suddenly looked like themselves as soon as Kane got his swede on the ball to nod it past De Gea. A massive transformation from the nervous collection to a confident team.

3) I genuinely think Mourinho has some "head problems" since his dad died, something that apparently had a big emotional impact on him. He hasn't looked happy for so long, though surprisingly he looked happy and relaxed walking out after half time. However, he soon returned to the uptight "negative nelly" when his team went behind. Not sure what his display in front of the Utd supporters at FT was about, more "head problems" I suspect. Anyone who thinks he has any sort of emotional connection with Man Utd is living in dreamland.

Still, nine points out of nine? Pinch me, I'm dreaming!

We weren't as bad as the result suggests. The players are clearly lacking in confidence but we played with more energy than we have in awhile. The lack of quality and precision in the final 3rd is a big worry. This only gets better if Mourinho decides on a team and gives it time to gel, can't see that happening now unfortunately.

Really? We had more than enough chances to score. Can't remember anything "extraordinary" that he did. He looked a bit hesitant to me, especially in the first half.

I think you make some good points mate, it is always hard for a fan to see beyond the naked result, I imagine the "Mourinho out" hashtag is in overdrive in Manchester right now, however at half time it looked like it was Man Utd's game to lose.

As for Alderweireld, yes nothing special first half but he made some crucial interceptions second half. It is significant that Poch played him today, it says to me that the man has decided to end his best years at Tottenham. Same for Rose, a big statement starting them today.

I think it is inevitable that Mourinho will go this season, the vibes are awful, just keep your hands off Poch, he's ours! Why not an audacious move for Pep? Stranger things have happened in football!

Particularly when he is more interested in making "statements" than picking a coherent side. Herrera at centre back was a message to Woodward, rather than a tactical decision.
