Eddie Howe is who I'd choose after the Tinkerman. A newly promoted club with resources dwarfed by pretty much everyone, even the other sides that came up with them, with their top goalscorer from last year being injured all season and pretty much all the players they signed in the summer spending the majority if not the whole season out injured meaning that at times this side hasn't even been as good as the one that they used in the championship, then to be pretty much safe at this stage of the season is impressive. It's not even like they've been languishing around the bottom and put a decent run together, they've not really looked in trouble all season.

Spurs have always been a 'big club' and of late have been on the verge of the top four for a while. Leicester's jump has been much bigger.

The best manager isn't the one who finishes highest. It's the one who squeezed the most out of his team.

For me, yes. Ranieri has done brilliant and shown the rest of the league up, but if Spurs go on to win the league for the first time in 50+ years, in a season most didn't even expect them to finish inside the top 4, with a young English core playing probably the best football in the league, it'll be the outstanding achievement of the season.

I think this season there are a number of decent candidates that in any other year would be favourites to win it. Whilst Ranieri will get it should Leicester remain in the top 3, if Pochettino wins the league, how can he not get votes? Flores at Watford has kept them up with ease and also guided them to an FA Cup Semi final. Their season could get even better should they get past Palace. Howe has also done magnificently with Bournemouth, did anyone genuinely think they'd make such a good fist of staying in the league? I know the quality is lacking this season, but it shouldn't detract from the job Howe has done. Bilic could also be in with a shout, West Ham's season could end with a top 4 finish and cup win. That has to put him in with a shout.

Ha. It is pretty rare that the PL winner will win MOTY. What they usually do is give it to the best performing British (and often English) manager...

Wenger is the only non Brit to have won it since Joe Kinnear in its second year, 1994. I think it was for the 'Invincibles' season.

It's got to be Ranieri and would be an injustice if otherwise tbh. Whilst the likes of Pochettino, Bilic and Howe are definitely deserving of the credit they have got, Claudio should win for taking a team that were one of the favourites for relegation all the way to the top of the league. It's a truly outstanding achievement.

Leaving aside the obvious bias, if Leicester win the league then Ranieri will get it and rightly so. It would have been unthinkable in August, much more unthinkable still than Bournemouth staying up comfortably or West Ham being in with a shot at 4th, as great as those are.

That said, I can't bang the drum loud enough for the way Howe took on a situation in Sept / Oct that looked so bleak, with our team selection and game plan ripped up by injury, the central core of the promotion side gone, and rebuilt everything in the space of 6 weeks.

To the point of our form from Dec to date accruing more points than Man City (I read the other day). To the point where full back Francis is statistically one of the best centre backs in the league. Drew Surman is transformed in midfield. And Josh King looks at home up here whereas 9 months ago he looked useless. That's our new spine. Ingenious coaching and tacticing.

In my own opinion, irrespective of whether Leichester city win the league or not. Their coach deserves the Manager of the year. Of all clubs leichester city had been the most consistent club in EPL. Ooh I give it to their coach. He solely took them from grass to grace

Yeah, but if Leicester go on to win the league for the first time ever, in a season where most expected them to go down, with a team of players who haven't cost much at all, a controversial pre-season and to top it all off a well-liked manager departing it would surely be the biggest achievement in the entirety of the history of the BPL to win/ come in the top 3 after all that.
