makes them look a laughing stock but sacking Deeney might be the first good decision Vince has made this season
Short and not so sweet!

After the outburst was always on the edge.

Deeney probably got a few sacked himself if they upset the players here like he did too.

Still had time to get a touch line ban !

Haven’t seen a club completely implode like FGR have ever since they won the L2 title. Just been a non-stop flow of bad decisions and unfortunately now seem a bit of a circus.
If we are a circus I hope the lions eat the owner for breakfast!

Flynn is the 'front-runner' according to our local rag.

Most FGR fans wished we weren’t and want Vince gone to be honest!
Vince's tactic seems to be to sack someone when the spotlight starts turning to him...he has done it several times now...I think he is fast running out of road. I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but I would be willing to see our club drop down a couple of divisions if it meant we could finance ourselves without Vince being involved.

FFS, Flynn to Forest Green? c*** always turns us over and he’ll sign Johnson to score a few against us being as though we’re still got to play them twice

You've had 2 chances to play us tbf. Would have been a cricket score on Tuesday if you'd got the game on.

Troy Deeney scored a hat-trick against us this season. Everything happens so much.

Interesting changes today. I looked up the manager's list a few minutes ago and our manager is something like sixth longest serving at just twenty months. Many of us would have seen him sacked at the end of last season but he and Craig Cope seem to have turned things around. Here's hoping that supporters don't turn on them with two of our most influencial players away on international duty.

Notts County - a bold appointment for this level. No experience in L2 but consistently got Wealdstone punching above their weight. I hope it works out.

Deeney? Hahaha. No problem with FGR supporters but can't stand their owner.

Can we re-name this thread to the "Forest Green Rovers(and other teams occasionally) managerial merry-go-round"?

Would be far more appropriate. How can a man in Vince, who isn't new to the football club ownership game, still be this clueless about appointing managers? It's proof that in the vast majority of cases, clubs fluke their way into the correct appointments and it's often more about luck than judgement.

I’m just really annoyed at Tuesday postponement, the rearranged, rearranged fixture definitely won’t be as easy.

That'll teach you.

Seriously though, even if Flynn is in charge by then I doubt we'll become world beaters, even with the best midfielder in League 2 Osadebe running our midfield.

Flynn, Cotterill, Johnson and Bonner the early front-runners. We're only interviewing managers with lower league experience, no academy coaches or recently retired ex Prem players need apply. Seems Vince has seen sense. 4 interviews yesterday and another 3 today.

That timing suggests that the sacking of Deeney may have been planned for some time...ironically...perhaps his outburst after Salford set the wheels in motion, Harrogate merely sealed his fate. I sit not too far from the Ecotricity box, Dale was gone last Saturday well before the final whistle.

Someone on our forum has been reliably informed Flynn is, indeed, going to be FGR’s new manager. How convenient timing!

You say that but the FGR pattern says it's time for an unknown coach, then you'll sack him and replace him with a big name former PL striker and so on

Stockport County.
Michael Flynn always starts well and fades away at a new club. It's probably not a bad appointment for a new manager bounce/great escape job.
