Stephen Constantine's just tagged Carlisle and Orient in a tweet of an interview he gave on Chinese TV.

He's also tagged in Jeff Stelling and the MLS.

Reluctantnicko on Twitter said Michael Bridges met with the club yesterday.

Martin Ling has said in a fans podcast that basically we're now back to where we was 6 weeks ago, Ross Embleton is in Interim charge and he has that for as long as he wants or if results go completely to pot (Which is bloody likely at the moment).

Reading between the lines, our whole board is desperate for him to get it/want it full time.

They tried to be clever by hiring Carl Fletcher and basically, they fucked it completely up and got badly burned and don't want to do it again unless the situation gets desperate.

Hindsight is wonderful thing, Ross left the team 12th 6 weeks ago after a 4-0 win, now we're 4 losses in 5 and haven't won since.

I also believe that the club is still struggling to cope in places with the summers tragic events, people do forget that its not even been 6 months since JE's tragic passing. They're not truly sure how to replace him, if he can ever be replaced.

Personally, I wish some people still have some patience with our club right now, its going to take a long time for things to truly return to normal. I still maintain that unless you lose a manager in such circumstances, you'll never understand what it feels like. Only Macclesfield Town fans will probably truly understand what I'm trying to say, as they're the only club I know who've had the same thing happen to them.

I’d say for Orient the aim this season had to be stay up, get it out the way and rebuild next summer from what has happened the previous summer.

You can never plan for what happened and getting through the season unscathed by hook or by crook is the best you could do in those tragic circumstances.

Yeah I get what your saying.

When we lost big Keith we had his long term sidekick on Gary Simpson already there, along with a plethora of players who had played under them for many years at various clubs, so I guess we had something of a decent continuity within the club. We survived that season and it was no doubt the spirit which saw us safe, though then to lose Richard Butcher not long after in similar circumstances that really knocked the stuffing out of everyone and i think it was at that point which we just couldn't summon the spirit to go again. I'd say it was probably about our 3rd season in the conference which we were able to really leave the past behind as John Askey was starting to put together an entertaining side of locally based players for us to get behind. Obviously what happened since in terms of promotion truly was fairytale stuff, but those early months and years were really tough times.

I must admit, I forgot that Richard Butcher sadly also passed away as well during those years.

I cannot even imagine the situation even within the club after that as well, on top of losing Keith. :(

He's Welsh, surely you don't want him! Hasn't he also got a hole in his head?
He'd be entertaining for sure. No idea where this has come from though as he's got a good career as a pundit and never really shown an interest in managing to my knowledge.

Keith Hill's assistant from his Rochdale days, Chris Beech (had to google him) has randomly appeared as the favourite this morning. Totally out of the blue as wasn't even linked with us yesterday, then today BetVictor have him odds-on.

No one has a clue really though, do they? We have Kevin Nolan on Evens with the bookies at the moment ( I think ).

For the odds to be that short, especially when out of the blue I can only assume that said candidate has been interviewed. It's widely known though that Bridges has met our board.

It’s uninspiring but he must have given one hell of an interview to get it over some of the other rumoured applicants so must have something about him.

I hope he does well, but I’m not expecting anything. I think we’ll go down, but Good luck to him.

we'll find out on Saturday. The fans are pretty angry about us appointing an unknown right now but if we play win with an improved performance then they'll quickly change their tune.

I saw a tweet that said "if he'd played for Carlisle at some point you'd all be buzzing". Sums it up. What does Michael Bridges have in his managerial locker that this bloke doesn't?

Those fans will just have to accept that life’s a Beech.

Interesting appointment, like us at Grimsby, Carlisle isn't exactly a desirable location on the football map; but we both have a bit of potential for the right people to come good if they've got the talent and know how.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I am glad they gave it to someone fresh, we’ve tried experience recently to no effect.

We gave curle.........experiences at never getting good budget squads promoted, and he.........didn’t get a good budget squad promoted

we then went with ‘experienced at lasting no longer than 6 months’ Sheridan who of course was gone within 6 months

we then had ‘experienced in failing’ Presley and he failed.

You could say we got exactly what experienced past told us........nothing from any. The reality is we won’t get experience successful managers as cannot afford them. So to have a chance we do probably need a gamble on fresh.......at least he has vast experience of the level.

But an Aranalde or Bridges was probably more needed due to a badly deflated fanbase currently needing someone to rally around

Apparently Beech has said Allardyce has been a massive influence on him.

so, er... fuck.

Hope he means he was bored to the back teeth of watching Allardyce's teams' kick-chase and was influenced to be different.

He was a very good coach at both Bury and more so with Dale. I’m surprised Hill never took him to Bolton tbh. Whether he is up to being a manager I suppose time will tell.

Apparently Carolyn radford on the way to the ground.

Announcing it all over Instagram apparently (I’m not 12 so I don’t have it personally).

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SACK HIM

Grimsby fans I see Chris Hargreaves is very much high up on the new manager poll -- Could do a lot worse. Done well with our Acadamy/23's squad. Would be a great loss but deserves to get a head coach/manager roll in the FL>

Not that I know, but has any Academy Manager gone on to be even a half decent manager?

We’ve experience of Luke Williams - who was a disaster.

The only one I think of is Nigel Adkins for a while. Even then I’m sure he was a physio or something
