Just thrown away a chance at finishing 3rd and not needing to qualify for next seasons Champions League having just been knocked out of the Cup without having a shot on target. I'd have left at the full time whistle too.
The lap of honour is a load of crap anyway, I think they stopped the players from kicking balls into the crowd at ours due to health and safety!
Do they have a managers speech? I don't recall us having one other than the season we qualified for the Champions League for the first time.
I assume his speech is more to do with the match being his final home game in charge of the club. Managers that leave without being sacked usually get to give a speech like that and I've never seen a set of fans shun one like the City fans have just done.
It's hardly a positive send off to what was actually a pretty successful spell at the club, is it?
