Looking forward to the day. Ale before, a game with nowt riding on it, a full and noisy away end, ale after.

You go in the Sandy Pate before the games, Richard Cranium ? Will give you a shout if I'm there. Don't normally but me mate's lad is mascot so I think we might be in there Saturday.

Any Pompey fans on here coming up? Don Tonberry ?

I can't see anything other than a Mansfield win, Waddocks admitted that fringe and youth players will be featuring for our last few games. We had one lad come on against Bury who I'd never heard off.

I won't be up there but sounds like a good turnout from us, expect a conga.

Your youth players will probably beat our lot. In fact your tea ladies would give them a good game!

Welcome Baratheon btw!

I think a few of our youth players will play. Thomas has been featuring alot recently and I'd imagine Fitzpatrick may come off the bench again. If Fletcher and Shires are back from their loan deals then I'd think they will be on the bench aswell. Marsden should get a game aswell.

I won't be making the trip up as money is tight and we've got nothing to play for in what has been a terribly disappointing season for us.

Mansfield will win and we probably won't score either.

Really hope we play all the kids I know we won't but I'd rather watch them than the shower of shit impersonating footballers that have played all season.

This'll probably be the best game of the lousiest of lousy seasons.

Both teams playing youth teamers, lots of soon to be out of work players with the sniff of the Mediterranean in their nostrils; lots of mistakes to remind both clubs supporters why they've looked forward to the summer so much.

My other half is a Pompey girl and fan and it says its own story when the game hasn't even been uttered in conversation at our house this week.

U think we are pretty lucky to have portsmouth on the last game of the season. I guess its lamentable as they've nothing to play for as we could have sold them double the amount of tickets and got more money for the budget.

As for the game, don't give a fuck, I expect Murray to bloody the youngsters which may take us on next season and hope we've been playing or trying to adapt a passing style of play.

I think we will. Not sure if you've seen his interview today but I thought it was brilliant. He also says the reason we've not seen much of Marsden is basically because the defence is shocking and it wouldn't of been right to throw him into that. He's promised us an Adam Murray team to be proud of next season and I think he will deliver. If we see football and flirt with the top half then the fans will be pleased.

I honestly belive he will become a great manager for us. Given the right resources anyway, We can't have another budget of 700k and expect to finish anywhere above 20th!

Onto Saturday anyway it sounds like Marsden, Fitzpatrick and Jack Thomas will all play and he even says Shires could make his debut. If he's as good as the other 3 who we've seen feature for us so far then I think he will do well. Here's hoping to a decent display of Football, An entertaining game and a good session before and after the match :2thumb:

Tomorrow could turn ugly, we are now without our 4 best CB's, and it looks like Johnny Ertl will have to play.

Don't worry you won't need any CB's. We wouldn't score if you didn't even turn up.

Jones, Devera, Webster, Ertl, Butler, Dunne, Hollands, Wallace, Close, Westcarr and Tubbs.

Stronger team than I expected but that back four scares me.

Only just, despite being a man up for 85 minutes.

I thought we more than matched Pompei for long periods of the game despite playing a total of 94 minutes with 10 men. The penalty aside, the ref was definitely an 'Awayer', gave us virtually nothing all game. That's pretty much how our season has gone. Good to see Hearn make an appearance and I hope we give him a chance next season.

Pompey fans caused all sorts of havoc and trouble in mansfield - which is quite unlike their fans from what ive seen - notts police caged 100 or so of them in a pub in town after they apparently caused problems - they let go after the game.

As for the game itself - it was a red and a penalty - but the ref then gave absolutely every possible decision to portsmouth - it was pretty embarressing to be honest - what is going on?

Given this season I expect opposition teams to have 10 sendings off next season, concede about 15 penalties when about 5 of them actually are penalties and to have refs that back us. The refs this season afainst us have been fucking ridiculous - if whoever is reading this from another club you might think im speaking rubbish - but believe me - any other stags fan would say the same.

Just bored of this season and lookkng forward to refs that will favour us

Seems like our idiot contingent were out in full force today.

As for refs, they just seem to be terrible all the time. We've had games at Fratton Park this season where we've had absolutely nothing too.

Like you guys, I'm glad this miserable season is almost over.

For what its worth buddy, the ones I met before the game were ace - really decent - had a good laugh with them.

Might need to make a trip down to Portsmouth next sEason If you are to go up - though you've got cook - who is a good manager - but couldn't get a goal against us when managing the simple lot across the m1

All 3 of our away wins have come against teams who play in yellow.

It's 3 points more than I was expecting, it doesn't really mean anything, maybe a position in the table but abit like yourselves it's all about next season for us.
