Great news for the stags fans with another trip to Malta planned for next summer - hurry up this season!

So, Barnet. Midtable, 3 draws and 1 win and loss so far this season. We'd be better playing them at their place. Akinde will keep the defence on their toes.

Murray has mentioned we might go 1 up front which will be interesting after the bore fest of last week.

Going for a 1-1 draw

If the massive clubs would stop going to exotic places in the summer and tiring their players out they wouldn't need to campaign for a winter break! ;)

We have a Maltese international in our team. Why waste time travelling abroad when you can import their best players.

We used to have one also - Luke demech - going back a decade though.

And our owner has a business or whatever out there

Feeling confident which means we'll end up disappointing me no doubt. If we are going to go one up top, Muz really dosent have much option with Hoban, Rose and Big D all being unfit then I hope we actually get players forward and support Green. If it's the same as the one up front last season then the Pate bar will make a killing this afternoon.

Tell me, he can't be as negative as last week?

You'll end up seeing me and ben in there for about half past at that rate.

Howcome they didn't have the game on in the pate last week btw?

I can't even be arsed to go to this after how boring the last few home games have been.

If a few more Stags 'supporters' took this attitude, we would cease to exist as a club. Up to you where you spend your cash I suppose.

Another thriller at Field Mill by the looks of it.

Mansfield have had plenty of chances. couple of very good stops from our keeper and a goal line clearance by the sound of it

Standard Mansfield home performance.

Play defensively at home.

Give the opposition far too much respect when we should be saying "we're at home, we run the show".

Leave the best player on the pitch unmarked and let him cut inside so he can score.

Revert to dull defensive football.

It's not disrespectful to Barnet, but we should be running the game and not worrying about fucking Barnet.

It's not a go at Barnet, they're a crafty side who may surprise a few with their limited, but effective and organised side with a match winner upfront - but I'm sick and tired of Murray worrying about the opposition. 2 goals in 4 home games isn't acceptable.

Allen had murrays pants down and at no stage did they look threatened. With the side we've got, playing to our strengths today was a very winnable game - instead, Barnet were deserved winners without breaking sweat

He needs to start contemplating his future at Mansfield, this isn't acceptable

Saying something isn't disrespectful does not stop it from being disrespectful.

It's not disrespectful.

You don't see us at home week in week out. Murray could be playing a side from the Ryman premier league and we'd still be defensive, still sit back and show no attacking ability, nous or knowledge to break sides down.

He can't keep looking at each and every team and worrying about them, he's got to be more bold and make the opposition worry about us instead, we're at home.

He's won 14 games from 42 home games when his away record is exemplary.

If we had a poor side I could understand his defensive, dull displays, but he's actually cobbled together a decent side. Today was a very winnable game and yet again he didn't provide.

It's got to the point where if he doesn't buck his ideas in the next 3 or 4 home games he could be sacked

Someone pointed out on our forum we've only lost 1 in our last 13 away games so maybe not that winnable!

Our home form last season was one of the best in the league..... Our away form was terrible until into the new year then we became a tough nutt to crack.

With Akinde up top we always are going to be dangerous

Here's a tip for any of the amber and royal persuasion for future reference, leave your brain at home; clearly the team do, as they just don't seem to have any wits about them to muster anything too meaningful during two forty-five minute periods.

Despite both sides barely creating a worthwhile opportunity the Bee's deserved the points by actually managing to break the monotony of the most dreadful of afternoons. I'm sure at one point time stood still, birds stopped tweeting, noise from the town ceased, the clouds halted rolling across the sky and the world collectively shed a tear.

It's going to be a long season again watching Field Mill fare.

The problem was the patient style of play. Collins and Rose were passing it sideways and backwards and we didn't have the creativity to unlock them. When the ball did go wide, both wingers had little end product. There was no way we were going to beat the Barnet centre backs in the air as they were both monsters, so the crossing came to nothing. We needed to get Green in down the sides of Nelson and N'Gala.

Often long ball is described as one-dimensional but I thought our play was that today. We need to figure out a way of drawing players out of position in this type of game. It might be useful to get the centre backs to carry the ball out of defence and occasionally drive a few yards through the centre, really force the opposition to move.

Barnet were well organised. Whoever scored first in this game was most likely to win so congrats, looked a pretty decent outfit. Also, Adam Lallana in goal...

Don't know about you 2 but I'm getting restless with his play and tactics at home.

There's a time and place for defensive tactics, but unfortunately the time and place for Murray is all the bloody time.

It's tiring to watch, genuinely boring.

Ben and I spent most of the 2nd half talking over the itinerary of Malta it was so poor.

Does Murray not see this? Does he not understand his home record is poor, crowds have nosedived, the players have no confidence and we've scored 2 goals in 4 home games
