Can you build a 4th stand to your ground like the vast majority of other league teams, this would increase annual revenues for Mansfield Town FC match the chairman and fat boys lofty ambitions and solve the problem. Could also atttact more home fans.

It's a win:win:win

We'll borrow one of yours, seems you don't get the crowds to fill it.

Got a bad feeling about this, stags always treat it like it's there cup final.
Had to laugh last night having a read on stagsnet, one poster suggested we,ll be finished once the injuries and suspensions kick in, guess he's had a rethink after last night when we made five changes,we also did when we beat swindon. Others on there seem desperate for a big club to make a swoop for KN.

How many times do we have to mention, don't take anything off Stagsnet as what we all think.

It's a big game, lads, a big game.

No predictions from me other than at least one red card. Would be nice for us to do the bullying this year.

A soft red for County please Dr. Oh the hypocrisy on here would be a delight.

A red card, deserved or otherwise is likely, it's a Derby game after all. Can't see it being 4-1 either way even with a side reduced to 10 men

It has Notts loss written all over it to be honest. The run we are on is too ridiculous for it not to end in a derby day pasting.

4 - 0 Stags

But we can't have 'our big day out' (lol) if we only get 1675 tickets! Even current National League Champs Lincoln City offer substantially more than that. H&S always get in the way, I'm sure we used to get over 1800 allocate tickets for the same stand a few years back.
We don't. Allocation in the SW used to be circa 1,800 but it's been reduced to about 1,500 due to segregation changes in the home ends i.e. the segregation is in the away end now, which I don't think is fully necessary but we're guided by SAG.

The club are also trying to get rid of it to offer full stand allocations.

Ahh I see so similar to Mansfield's allocation. Although understandable due to the level of support at sincil bank this season. Very different scenario at Field Mill.

SAG are real party poopers.

Sadly, I will be in Chile when Super Kev's Stylish Magpies visit a packed out Sincil Bank (one of my fav away days) in January. So I won't be in attendance :(

If it was a cup final, it would be sold out. We never fill the ground when you visit, unlike when we visit your place for your cup final.

You could just say "We never fill the ground"
, no need for the next bit ;)

You are right though the 'Big Day Out' is most certainly when Mansfield visit the big city and Marvellous Meadow Lane :)

You can't even half fill your three sided hovel

Then don't complain about the ground not being big enough.

Had county fans not made tits of themselves in yet another defeat at field mill maybe the allocation would be bigger and we wouldn't be having such a conversation.

It's such an underwhelming city when travelling back from Manchester. In fairness, Nottingham is trying though.

In other news, as it's an all Notts forum, well done to sir Christopher of Read for scoring a century in his last match for Notts pretty much guaranteeing promotion back to the top division.

Hopefully that's some common ground

We both know that isn't true! Come on , that's weak!
How many games have there been between the two Field Mill in the last two decades and how much trouble has there been at those games ? I'll help you out, minimal.

We've had 2.5 sides of your ground back in the 90s (Pre SAG?) ,surely both ends isn't too much to ask for? More cash for your club.

If you Class Nottingham as underwhelming compared to Manchester when visiting , what's Mansfield like? A shanty town? Or home?

I'm hoping Notts line up as they did against Lincoln, same starting XI and with the big man Shola completing a strong looking bench

Grant without his goals can be peripheral in games. In the Championship he would score less and wouldn't warrant a first team place in Forests' line up.
He's doing great for us, but like Jack Grealish before him , he's not forced to make the step up although I do think he'd do a job at League One right now.

Really hope we win the next two, stick it up Evans who is undoubtedly a good manager but a wreck of a man, and Cooper who isn't even a good manager.

Wouldn't have a clue....I highly doubt Evans has a clue either.

I stand by what I said at the start of the season that on paper, (probably bar Jorge Grant) if you compared our signings side by side with County's, you'd have taken all of ours immediately.

The consequence of that is even after 10 games in, we havn't a clue what our strongest side is, we havn't a clue what our best system is to get the best out of our players, and Evans hasn't tried to rectify consecutive lacklustre displays because even though we've been crap, we picked up points so he seems to think his luck is in and he doesn't need to do any work on the training ground.

If we intend on actually playing football and getting back to the home performance against Luton (the only performance we've put in for 85 minutes this season) then Jacob Mellis is a must start. He, like Grant, is clearly too good for this level. Rose is a must as he is the only player capable of scoring and he puts some effort in and actually looks like he wants to win.

If I was to guess at the line-up, it would be the following but will probably be nowhere near right with the midfield;

Logan

Bennett
Mirfin
Pearce
Hunt

McDonald
Butcher
Mellis
Anderson

Rose
Angol

Angol and Rose is a decent duo up top, should cause lots of problems. Central Defensive pairing on paper is impressive hence why Forte needs to start due to his pace, experienced higher division keeper to boot. I'm hoping as a Notts fan that Yates and Milsom can win the central midfield battle.

Totally agree that Stags signings were/are a hell of a lot more impressive than ours. We basically re-signed last seasons players (some of whom Notts fans didn't want us to re-sign) , Yates we knew nothing about, Brisley's past was hardly exciting, only L2's best player was someone the fans could get excited about due to what he did last season

We havn't got a "sitter" in midfield if Digby or Byrom don't play.

Digby follows up a good performance with a crap one. He was good at Lincoln in a good defensively, but overall poor performance in Stags' fans eyes. By all accounts he was shocking last night though so will find himself dropped I think.

If we go with Butcher and Mellis, we'll be pulled to shreds in the middle of the park defensively, so it'll be interesting to see if he gives Digby another chance along with a good swift kick up the arse to sort himself out.

The Luton performance aside where he was unplayable, Angol has been just as ineffective. If it wasn't for that Luton performance and a few that we witnessed in pre-season, Angol would be getting just as much stick as Hemmings. At least we have the option of sending Hemmings back. We're stuck with Angol if he keeps putting in his powderpuff performances of late.
