I said challinor would get Hartlepool into the playoffs this season, looking at the table they’ve got every chance of winning the league. I wanted him out when we were 16th or something in the league and the owner sacked him.
Looking back it’s the biggest mistake we’ve made. He didn’t put a foot wrong with us in his whole tenure until we made a load of signings the season after being in the playoff final. Hoping to go one better and they just didn’t work out. Glad he’s doing well at Hartlepool though.
Your chairman made a great decision .

We’ve not played Dover either.

So if we assume their results are getting scratched it looks like:

1. Sutton, 23, 47
2. Hartlepool, 26, 47
3. Torquay, 24, 44
4. Notts, 21, 38
5. Eastleigh, 24, 38
6. Stockport, 24, 37
7. Wrexham, 25, 37

He's doing a really good job, there is an optimism around the place not seen since probably the Danny Wilson days.

When he first came the football was decent to watch but we weren't that efficient. He's made us very well-organised and good to watch at the same time. All that with a much lower budget than previous years. When we needed a new manager and DC was out of work he was top of my list by a stretch.

If he gets us back in the EFL it's obvious he will achieve god-like status.

If that happens we are only 3 points off the play offs with a game in hand on Wrexham.

Singh eventually got a managerial appointment right after several missed shots, suppose timing was perfect, sacked from Fylde middle of October, Pools boss start of November and he's done very well.

Even more interesting when compared to the form table. Bad news for Torquay and Stockport.

Zero chance we win the league. We're too far behind, absolutely no room to drop any points. It's been a sensational turn around though after staring down the national league North

Agreed - Sky have us priced up 2/5 for a top 7 finish and I'd say thats probably about fair, given our form.

IF we do finish in the play offs though anything is possible.

I agree. Trying not to get carried away but I think it’s now in our own hands to get into the play offs which I will be disappointed if we don’t make given our current form.

We’ve come through a really tricky handful of games against sides in and around the play offs and picked up 12 from 15. Not looked at our fixtures for the rest of this month but there’s a bit of momentum about us. Think we will finish 5th/6th maybe but I think only Stockport will fancy playing us in the play offs!

We'll be lucky to make the play offs.

If this guy Rusk is still with the club when fans are allowed back in, he will be eaten alive by some of our lot. He looks like he's bricking it already. He'll be up the road down to whichever boring, drab southern town he's originally from.
I'm certain we could've picked up at least another 8 points from these last 8 games if it had been under JG, and that'd put us top of the table. As it is, points-wise, we're closer to Aldershot in 14th than we are to Hartlepools in 3rd.

The whole situation is just so depressing. This isn't just shooting yourself in the foot - this is shooting yourself in the foot, developing gangrene and then amputating the wrong leg

Our next 5/6 look like this:

Maidenhead (A)
Sutton (H)
Barnet (A)
Dover (A) - TBC what happens with this
Weymouth (H)
Eastleigh (A)

Following that ^^ we then have a run of 4 home games out the next 5, all against teams below us in the league and given our Home form under Rowe that should hopefully bode well... so if we get through these next 5/6 games in similar form to what we’ve been in since the isolation period... then I think it’s time to really be getting excited

But for now, let’s just keep pushing, winning our games and the rest will take care of itself. Still 21 league games left for us to go, 63 points to play for... plenty of twists and turns yet to take place
