Those stewards were slower than Matt Rhead.

Is Cooper flavour of the month with Cooper now then? He usually plays once or twice, then seems to disappear for a month or two.

Ah ok. Yeah seems like he's back in favour again. When his attitudes right he's capable of being a match winner, hopefully he'll keep it up now.

The stewards probably understood. That lady who took him off has been there since the first day the Ricoh opened.

Have to say I was very impressed with the stewards there, everyone I spoke to was friendly, helpful and you could have a good laugh with! Also a special mention to COV fans, spoke to quite a few who were very interested in fgr, helped us with directions, best places for food and drink and clapped us off at the end! Hopefully that c*** of an owner won't be there much longer there deserve much better!

I remember after our play off final KMB was interviewed and asked would he rather not have scored his corker and FGR won, and he actually had to think about it for a couple of seconds. Wouldn't want a player like that playing for us to be honest, however good he may be.

Just seen photo of the potential career ending tackle on Charlie Cooper by Coventry player.
It should have been a straight red.
The guy was lucky to just get a yellow.

I find it baffling that on the Coventry forum they were complaining about the FGR petty fouls but overlooked the worst of the evening.
Immediately Charlie went down I knew he had been severely knocked.
He was thrashing about in agony.

Yeah I remember that, he also retweeted clips of it and changed his profile to stuff with him celebrating that goal. I get he was happy to have scored but you wouldn't have known we'd actually lost the game.

20 years ago, not long before Coventry's epic 34 year spell in the top flight finally ended, these clubs were six divisions apart, and two years before Coventry actually finished higher in the Premiership than Forest Green did in the Southern League Midland division. The previous decade FGR were in the Hellenic League, seven divisions below Coventry.

Of course other clubs have had similar if not greater falls from grace (Portsmouth, not to mention Stockport) and rises (Accrington, Fleetwood, Burton), and in some cases within a shorter time frame, but I still couldn't help but be amazed when I saw this result on Wednesday, not just little FGR actually being in the same league as Coventry (any previous meeting if it had ever happened being limited to a FA Cup 3rd round game, that Coventry would have expected to win with consummate ease, if FGR were lucky to get that far) but beating them on their own patch after being bottom and them being near the top.

That said, that was a pretty big overreaction from that disgruntled Coventry fan, I understand for some there's a limit to how many times you can take your team being shit while tumbling down the leagues before totally losing your cool, but he's going to look pretty foolish if his team end up getting promoted at the end of a long season. I would have thought that diehard football fans like him would have been more than well acquainted enough with the lower leagues to know that unlike in the top flight there are no guaranteed results in football, especially in League 2 - I imagine though even after several seasons in League 1, watching this level of football would be quite a cultural shock.
