You are 9 points above relegation and out of the play offs on goal difference.
I think you would have a bit of a job persuading JFH to drop back down to League 2.
It would also cost a fair bit of bunce.

I am actually happy about this. He was absolutely clueless tactically and his team selections were baffling to say the least.

The football he played for the majority was abysmal and driving fans away in their droves, the league table is currently a false reputation of how we've played this season (it really is a piss poor league). A month ago we were in the bottom two and couldn't see where the next win was coming from.

His transfers since coming in bar Akinde have been shocking, his interviews were infuriating i could go on.

As long as we get the next appointment slightly right it'll be an improvement.

You're doing pretty well though this season, so is there also the fear that the next appointment could go the other way?

You could do with another manager who has some degree of experience, do not go for the easy cheap option of appointing some youth team coach.

There is indeed the risk. At least with MA, we knew that we would never get relegated as he'd always be able to change things around and motivate the team to go on a run of form. The fact is that all of our managers over the past 10 years apart from Allen, Paul Fairclough and Edgar Davids (in League 2) have failed badly. However, the incoming manager does have a decent squad of players with the best striker in the division to play around with. In previous cases, the manager has had to create a new squad every season.

They seem reasonably well organised and progressive off the pitch, with youngsters waiting to come through to their squad.

Obviously Plymouth, Luton, Pompey or Carlisle would find it easier, with a bigger fan base - if they could survive the greater pressure to do well that would be on them when compared to Barnet, Accy or, Morecambe...

Yep, I'd say that yourselves and Burton Albion are the models for us to emulate. However, to do this, we'd need a manager who is bolder and more imaginative with his tactics than MA was.

Was quite surprised to see this but then remembered it's Martin Allen, he'll be on a better wage than he is at Barnet and with the resources will see it as a chance to take the club further than he could with Barnet. Next appointment will be important for Barnet, think they need an experienced head who can keep them challenging at the top end.

Not really. As I said on the other thread in the Non-League part of the forum, it's one thing to leave us for Brentford and Notts County, it's quite enough to leave us for that jumped-up outfit outside Southampton with him admitting that he left us for the money.
Besides, I think our chairman was not pleased about the players he signed for us in the close season.

Fair enough, to me on the outside its blooming funny that he has chased the money and the tap has been turned off. Though my opinion is primarily based on his 'performances' on the channel five programme.

I and most of the other people posting on our forum are finding it hilarious although a lot of our laughter is directed at Eastleigh rather than Martin Allen.

Allen will have needed help carrying the sacks of cash to his car if the salary rumours are to be believed.
Eastleigh have been mugged, but Allen hasn't done his reputation any favours and things would have to go very badly wrong for him to be offered a job with us.

He was great for Notts, and whatever you say about him, he left Barnet on the fringes of the play offs.
He really should take the summer off, get his health sorted and get a job closer to home. Pretty sure there's another job left in him and that he'd do a good job with time and a budget.

With selling N'Gala to Eastleigh for £60k, then getting rid within days of him being there, the players he signed from Barnet when at Eastleigh and who he sold to Eastleigh from Barnet (Coulson?) and you have to wonder whether something's gone on here!
