I can. Maybe it will rain a lot, or our floodlights will conveniently fail.

Plenty of entertainers making sure one gets value for money this year then. Just had a look at the table and Bromley currently top the list with 42 goals so far. Next up are Torquay with 41,Grimsby with 38 and 37 for Halifax.

Braintree and Welling are making an effort though to keep things a little more realistic with 22 and 23 respectively. BOO!!!

On one hand I'd love FGR's losing run to match their winning one. On the other I don't want Cheltenham to be top of the league. They really are mediocre.

Maybe that's the problem this season...everyone is.

Watch out Cheltenham. We should have Darren Carter signed by Tuesday.

Thank fucking christ for Jordan Burrow.

We're going down, but at least with him we might not come bottom.

I feel like I have to thank him too as I only got 2 points in the prediction league, for predicting wins for Wrexham and Cheltenham, but luckily had Burrow as goalscorer, so that's an extra 5 points :woo:

Seriously though, the bod should have give Aspin more time. Today's game was a great chance for 3 points, and I believe you lot have Welling after Gateshead, and that was another good chance of getting a win.

Sour grapes for being beaten earlier in the season? Wrexham the only team so far who have given us a real test so we are clearly not mediocre and with respect we are one of the best teams in this league.

Please do he is pretty rubbish and living off his reputation as a youngster at Birmingham. We released him with good reason, so one paced.

Don't say that, you'll burst the bubble of all our fans who are actually excited he might sign.

We've had some really bad players these last few years and interesting to see some of them turning up against down here like Braham-Barret at Woking and Carter potentially for you. Expect him to get some abuse if you do get him but he's really not very good and plays at pedestrian pace.

Barrow 1 Aldershot 3

hmmm - 1-1 at half time with Barrow arguably the better side - Charlie Walker for shots and Jason Walker (pen) for Barrow - Brodie at his whining/moaning best after the penalty award - should have been sent off for abusing the linesman then the 4th official.
2nd half Pilkington went off early for Barrow who then lost their shape a bit - C Walker scored again glancing in a free kick, then bad defending let shots score a 3rd well taken goal.
Aldershot were by far the best team we've played at home (so far) - and the 150 or so fans they brought were a reasonable if noisy bunch.
main concern apart from the loss during the game was when Aldershot number 20 Nick Wilmer Anderton went down injured in the 2nd half - it looked bad at 1st, but he managed to hobble off under his own steam... he broke his leg playing on loan for Barrow last season (at Worcester) and got applauded off by both sets of fans.
Anthony Wilson came on for the last 5 mins for Barrow after being out injured for virtually the last 12 months - had 1 shot well saved and should have had a penalty in the all in 5 mins (+ 4 injury time)

Feel like we gifted Aldershot the 3 points today. They were okay but never really offered a lot - and somehow came away with three goals.
Played them off the park for the first 45 and then about an hour in our keeper let one through him and everyone gave up. Well, resorted to long balls down the channel to chase.
Thought Beckles was the best defender I've seen for a while, but Brodie continues to be shite against Barrow.
Will have to be much better on Tuesday to avoid defeat against a buoyant Macc.

Carter wasn't that bad for us, certainly better than what we had last season in L2. He should do a job in the Conference.

Much better from us today, fairly comfortable win despite making things difficult for ourselves again near the end, need to get out of the habit of trapping ourselves in our own half late in games. We should have killed the game off as Hannah wasted a couple of chances and Thomson had an effort brilliantly saved from just under the bar. Shades of Tuesday night as they had a dangerous free kick pretty much last kick of the game but Worsnop made an outstanding save.

After last week’s horror show, four points from Grimsby and Eastleigh is a good return.

Knew Cheltenham would do well this season, looked really good on the opening day, we were lucky to get a point no matter what tripe some other people might peddle about that game. Can see them bowling over EcoRoverz on Tuesday.

Fokking hell, how did we beat Chetenham, Tranmere and Grimsby?
We were taught quite a lesson today, but no way was 4-0 a fair scoreline. It should have been 7, but for a couple of glaring misses.

The better team won today. We saw a lot of the ball in the 1st half but Cheltenham had the better chances. Second half we looked leggy, understandable after Tuesday's exploits beating FGR, and even more so once we went behind. Cheltenham's goal came from a corner. No real surprise as they looked dangerous whenever they got the ball into the box. Jake Cole kept us in it for a long time. As a team, it was a soft goal to concede, though. Downes heads everything and Morgan-Smith and the other bloke up top pulled our centre-backs around. Cheltenham certainly look a play-off side. Not sure whether they've got the depth and resources to compete with FGR for the next 35 games for the title.

Looking at the bigger picture for us, three points from FGR and Cheltenham, given our situation, is a very good return. I genuinely thought we'd be lucky to get one. Onto Braintree, our notorious bogey team, on Tuesday.

5 wins out of our last 7 games - does that make us the form team in the league now? (Didnt think I would have been saying that after Wrexham).

Today wasnt our best performance but it was effective and we have 2 strikers that are constant goal threats. If Brodie doesnt score then Charlie Walker will and vice versa. Been a long time since we have had that privilege.

Onto Tranmere and a game we should go into with no fear!

About time we got 3 points on the road, we should of got a bag full again today! Normally we regret missing all these chances (Gateshead, Cheltenham, Bromley, Lincoln)
Do think we need another striker, Jennings is now a midfielder, Mills takes Gray off everygame and Jackson is very raw

No sour grapes at all, just my opinion. Yes you are one of the best teams in the league but I didn't think you were that good. Certainly not as good as some of the teams we've seen in this league over the last few years.

Leaving aside the comical, inept ref and Welling's constantly falling over and time wasting we got what we deserverd, nothing. The worrying thing is we didnt look that bothered. Need a better performance on Tuesday if only to show we can actually turn up and play football

Well .... we beat the VISION. Only 1-0, but that flattered them. Very pleased that we've matched Grimsby and bettered Eastleigh this week after the atrocious performance against Tranmere last Saturday. A BIG well done to Macclesfield for beating the DIRTIEST team in the league. No arguments FGR fans, you ARE the dirtiest team.

Is 1 point from 4 part of the Vision?

Good result for Chester. Looks like they could come out of what looked like an exceptionally tough September with a decent return.
