But you didn't. All the rest is irrelevant. It's results that keep a manager in his job, not how well the team plays at different points in matches.

We're talking about our managers selections, not whether or not we should've won the game or not...

What I'm trying to say is that regardless of anything else, team selection, playing well, having a plan b and making changes that rescue a point etc, the upshot is the result and all the evidence points to the fact that Hurst is not a manager capable of producing consistent enough results.

The top of the league is stronger then last season imo, there are 3 or 4 strong sides with deep squads and if you muck about waiting for Hurst to come good you could be as good as out of it by the end of September. If by the end of the bank holiday weekend you're 10 points off the top, you should make a change imo.

I believe he is capable personally. But I'm running out of patience with his ridiculous tinkering because he's built a good squad playing good football. I simply do not know another manager who would split up a strike pairing with 3 goals each in 4 games. Or drop arguably our MOM in all 4 games in Craig Clay.

The bloke baffles me.

The irony.
Quite a differerence between 'misread' and 'can't read'.
But so unlike you to try and take the piss, 2/10 for that one, thought you were better than that......:2thumb:

We will come good after Hurst stops trying to be a billy big bollocks and let's the players get on with it but once again the concern is how many games it will take for that to happen. Our start isn't disastrous and I still think we have the best squad in the league by some margin, Hurst has proven he can get them playing consistently last season. His downfall is trying to stamp his authority by chopping everything up and if we don't go up once again it will be 100% his fault.

He says it's a statement to the players that no one is safe, so he sticks a winger up front, a centre half at fullback and drops two of our best performers. Not to mention our best player was already sat on the bench and we had a right back struggling immensely on the left. The man is a clown, but then I've always said that.

I guess people will inevitably take the piss but I don't see the fans really melting down. It's just a bit of frustration based on a problem we've had with the manager for years, to keep making the same mistake every year is totally unacceptable for me. More so given that when he stopped doing it we gave ourselves a shot at winning the league.

But you won't find a fan who won't say he's built a good squad. This squad can win the league and I've absolutely no doubt about that whatsoever. However when your manager is seemingly holding that squad back, the squad you helped raise £110k to produce, I think fans have a right to be pissed.

For the mostpart he delights the rest of us.
So a bad GTFC result 'delights you'?!
You must be very easily pleased, maybe time for you to get a life pal?
Did he delight you by taking 4 points off you last year?
What a sad individual........ :2thumb:

Don't take it heart mate. It's just that everybody loves to see the mighty trip up. It's how you bounce back that counts.

Seems ages since you lot won a game but you decided to draw most of them so it doesn't feel *that* bad a run.

Kiddy got 5 points from their first 10 games a few seasons back, and still nearly won the league. Pick up 4 points or more from your next 4 and you're still in with a shout.

Very true, and if I hear some plastic band-waggon jumping Premier League fan slagging off non-league football or those who follow it, regardless of their team (Yes, that includes all of you who give my club a hard time) I put them right!

One chairman couldn't understand why the fans were getting on his back when we knew the club was broke. One fan explained it to him. "Stop. Losing. To. Forest. Fucking. Green". :fl:

It was me. :ds:
