To be fair I think they may have brought 2k, which is more than they've accumulated in their last four trips....
Okay, possibly. But there are definitely a fair few that are using this whole "boycott" thing as an excuse when they had no plans to make the trip. It's fucking boring too, yeah, we get it, it's expensive.

No you wouldn't.

We would've Tom. We had 2.5k at yours and we viewed it as a shit following, why the fuck wouldn't we have had at least 2k on our return to the Championship, at a closer game, in a better ground. I would've been going 100%, but will go to Boro instead now.

It's 32 quid at Boro, added to extra trave costs.... Madness.

Fuck sake

It's not a case of not affording it though, more the principle of not paying £39 for a ticket, £32 is also pushing it but had you charged us that I would've gone. Yeah it's only an extra £7 but there has to be a point where it gets too much...

I was looking at going Boro away and looked at booking it tonight for September but with the stay over night it will cost me about 200-250 quid for everything i can't afford that! without staying overnight about 100-150 I'm absolutely gutted as i was looking forward to going there this season.

I will personally not pay for than £25 for a football ticket. Don't get me wrong there are exceptions like a trip to Wembley, Play Offs, big cup tie and derby games like Cardiff. However I will be spending a lot of time with my radio this year, which is a shame as there are plenty of grounds I've not been to before. And before anyone moans I have written to City telling them our prices are too high for away fans.

We'd have taken more than double.

I know loads that aren't going because of the ticket prices. We had a minibus deposit down for 10 of us, but decided to cut our losses, and not go.

It's a perfectly valid excuse in my eyes, and I only missed the odd away game last season, so it's not a regular occurrence.

All supposition no-one can say for certain you would, I'd argue against it given you've brought sub 650 on each of your last four visits.

And then when doing well, we brought in excess of 4,000, so like you said, no-one can say for certain.

I now realise why some of our tickets are so expensive. Sat in the expensive ones on the half way line tonight as all tickets were the same price, 8 quid for me so took advantage!

Posh entrance, doormen (because pushing a door open is so hard), free teamsheet and program, very posh bar with barmen ready to take your glass away when you're finished, padded seats, arm rests and a decent view. Didn't feel like being at a football match to be honest.

Back to the Sir Bobby Robson stand for me!
