Since JV wasn't the only one in charge of it, anyway.
Alan Long is a great guy and does a lot of good work for the club, but his grammar when using the official account is terrible and just makes us look tinpot (or more tinpot than we already were!).

Robinson WANTED IT MORE and therefore won it. If your bloke had tried to win it instead of just dipping his foot in, he might not have got hurt.

And yet here we are, Lincoln fans having a go about a tackle that occurred during open play whilst one of their own players stamped on a Woking player who was on the floor when play had been stopped.

We matched Gateshead for most of the game just one moment when ZFA didn't clear the ball and the Heed score. Also Singh skied the ball from 6 yards which doesn't help. Think that's it for us now it's been a fun 11 years :bye:

Yeah, you can pretty much tell who's on it at the time. I think he also forgets to swap back to his own Twitter account because some of the RT's are stupid.

I emailed JV about it a couple of months ago.

The difference here is that the tackle was dangerous and mis-timed, so how you can say it was a fair or a great tackle is beyond me! The ref missed it which happens in the hurly burly of matches. Beevers was rightly sent off for his petulant stamp and I don't see Imp fans saying anything else?

I take it you still haven't watched the video then.

Whoever does it on a match day is much worse and paints you in a worse light. There will always be an element of bias on any clubs match reporting but the constant conspiracy theories surrounding the officials every match is tiresome and cringeworthy.

Slept through the first hald of Grimsby v Shrewsbury. First 20 minutes of the second have been decent, though. Both teams going for it.

Annoying not to win that. A handful of excellent efforts, decisions going against us and Bogle on 75mins too late. Good effort but a replay is a pain in the arse, especially if we don't win it now.

Really enjoyed that even though we didn't win. 2 teams giving their all, proper blood and thunder cup tie (literally with the Shrews keeper, ouch), cracking atmosphere, only thing missing was a goal.
I think Shrews will be delighted to still be in the cup after that, as goalless games go, I thought it was an excellent one.

We should've won that, more than matched them.

Yes we should have. We have just as good footballers as they do.
Again Paul Hurst irritates a bit in the after-match - "we are underdogs for the replay etc etc, we will just want to give a good account of ourselves in the replay etc etc - Paul this is professional sport, we want to win, not just be plucky little chaps putting up a good show. I've seen many away wins in Cup replays over the years - let's make this another one.

Agreed, good game for this neutral, glad I tuned in. You created far more decent chances than they did, their best being the one on one with the keeper, that he dealt with perfectly. Massive ouch moment for their keeper, both players just going for it, you could see the blood starting to stream from his head even before he stopped moving...was amazed that he made the coach home after the game, should surely have spent a night in hospital just in case. You shouldn't regard yourselves as underdogs, most teams in the top half of this division can give almost anyone from the one above a good game, as we did Oxford on Sunday. Good luck for the replay!
