Our ridiculously bipolar inconsistency highlighted by the contrast between halves.

Askey should have some fresh legs on there by now, not just to see today out but with Tuesday in mind as well.

We're unchanged, so Wood continues in midfield.

Farman, Beevers, Waterfall, Howe, Bush, Wood, Stanley, Muldoon, Power, Hawkridge, Rhead.

A young and poor bench again, bar Hearn - Grant, Tempest, Everington, Simmons, Hearn

We made that so much harder than it needed to be. They were very poor and if we had just continued to attack them we would have won by 3 or 4. Still, unbeaten in 4 and we're slowly moving up the table.

Hard not to but we really shouldn't have eased off there, Kiddie were there for a hammering.

Glorious tinpot scenes at the Crabble. A Dover shot hits the side netting and pulls the net off the goal. No Dover linesman for ages so Dover players try and reattach the net. When the groundsman finally appears he can't reach the top of the goal so Belford gives him a leg up.

Standard Braintree pitch. Bobbly as fuck and overly long grass, by all accounts. Gowling and Robertson off injured too, severely restricting any second half tactical battle plan. Scrappy sounding game. All the hallmarks of a classic Braintree win here.

Boreham Wood 1-0 up. Welling have had a good spell in the first half, but Wood have ended stronger hitting the woodwork. Welling's defence looks very poor, if Boreham Wood are more adventurous I can see them winning this comfortably.

Red mist has seemed to have descended over Tomlinson. Imp friends, did this ever happen for you lot? Reckless and needless two footed foul at the end of the first half, which he got booked for. The ref just missed what sounded like another unprovoked yellow.

In a word, yes. His discipline is really poor. Off the top of my head, he picked up 15 yellows by March last season.

I knew he had a fairly poor yellow card record, but I figured that was for chatting back and genuinely poorly timed challenges.
