To compliment match threads, not replace them! To talk through all today's fixtures, whether you're at a game or not. Maybe some live discussion of the goals on Channel 5 later if it's worth watching this season. And then I'll try to post a nice summary of the weekend's action after all is said and done.

Bradford City v Blackpool
Bury v Walsall
Charlton Athletic v Bristol Rovers
Doncaster Rovers v Gillingham
Fleetwood Town v Rotherham United
Milton Keynes Dons v Wigan Athletic
Oldham Athletic v Oxford United
Peterborough United v Plymouth Argyle
Portsmouth v Rochdale
Scunthorpe United v AFC Wimbledon
Shrewsbury Town v Northampton Town
Southend United v Blackburn Rovers

First time we've been at home first day for some years, hopeful of a decent crowd and a win. COME ON!

Gutted I'm at work for the first game of the season at home, following our promotion, new manager and new owners. It should be an amazing atmosphere!

Couldn't get tickets for our opening match as I didn't sort my season ticket out until after they sold out. Annoying as it's looking to be a great trip to the coast (nice weather expected as well). Anyway, will have to make do with our online commentary, quietly optimistic after preseason, however, this is Rotherham so who knows after last year!

Absolutely roasting out here in the Algarve. Just going to have some lunch, beer and access Pasoti to see what is happening against Posh.

Been stuck running errands all day and only just got home. Still got a couple of weeks before my first game of the season at Oldham. Just made a big fry up to soften the blow. Come on the proper Latics!

To be honest, he's one lazy fat bastard so will not make any difference to us whatsoever.

Great win, on paper MK Dons and Charlton look to be our strongest opponents so to win away to one and by the sounds of it a very convincing performance and should have won by more. 6 debuts and a number of key players only just starting to come back into the fold after long term injuries.

Didn't get the crowd or the performance, not the day we wanted at all.

At least we didn't lose 8-2. Poor Yeovil!

Signs Blackburn might not have it their own way.

We could have the best back 5 in the entire of world football and we would still struggle.

We have no pace, no energy and zero goal scoring threat unless Oztumer pops up with a long range effort.

P45 for Whitney and his boring, defensive negativity.

All the build up, and our game was atrocious. Both us and Shrewsbury should have lost that. Should have had a pen but the ref deemed the foul to be outside the box which was a honker of a decision. Anyway, I'm off on holiday.

Went out last night so I'm going to watch the goals later. I like Colin Murray, anyone watch it and found it was a better show?

It was better but the timing was all to cock. They were still gassing about the Championship 10 minutes in then the programme finished late so my tivo cut off the end.

Thought it was dross.

Don't like Colin Murray at the best of times, even less when he's playing the part of Clem from the football league show, then interviewing a celebrity fan. Got these stupid van videos now too.

Granted that is just The Championship show and ours is stripped back a bit but still, Colin Murray.

A few reds yesterday. Lowes was a red all day. no complaints.. Thought the rules were unless you pull or barge (anything but an attempt to tackle) someone over as last man it was just a yellow. Chaplin ran across and Keane tripped him so probably justified. Thought the one on the half way line in the wigan game was harsh as he still had 40 odd yards to run. The two footed was justified.
