Tbf I don't think most Ipswich fans are getting too carried away. It's a fantastic start, but I'd be delighted if we finished top half. So many games left to play, so much can happen. There's certainly many better teams than us in this league.

Out of the current top 6, I can only see Leicester and Birmingham probably being there come the end of the season.
Yep, I imagine most Ipswich fans are normal. I was replying to Tractorboys putting laughing reactions on posts from a few weeks back.

At the start of the season I was hoping 60-65 points, keep us safe from the drop.

But using the average points required for that with remaining games, 70 points could be a realistic total to aim for which has in the past been play off points.

Still early days but it’s definitely been a far better season than our last appearance here!

Definitely, I'm very glad to get the points on the board early for sure.

To put into perspective how good this season has been so far, last time we were in this league we won 5 matches across the WHOLE season. We've matched that already after 6 games!

Birmingham at home tomorrow, arguably our toughest test of the season so far.

Think they're missing Laird and Dembele but maybe they'll be back for this one. Pace down the sides is where teams get the most luck against us but at the same time, we almost welcome balls into the box from wide areas as our six yard box defending is pretty much second to none right now.

Hard to guess a team, Browne is supposedly jaded from international duty, Keane is recovering from his thigh injury, Millar cramped up to the point where he couldn't continue, and Hughes went off injured. Not sure if Whiteman or Brady are up to 90 minutes yet.

Rotation is definitely needed with 3 games in a week.

A draw at Hillsbrough probably no good for either manager.

What has gone wrong at Boro ?

Agreed. Although more positives for us to take than Boro, I feel. That was our best performance so far especially in the first half. Second half was generally poor and ball retention was shocking.

Some good individual performances for us, Pol Valentin (how the fuck has Callum Paterson been playing over him), Di’Shon Bernard and Musaba all playing well plus Vasquez in goal.

That being our best Performance so far, (which I agree with) shows just how low the Bar has been set.
It's going to be a long season for both Clubs, surprised how bad Boro were (although improved vastly in the 2nd half) I still think they've more chance of staying up than us.

We’re really, really shit and appear to have spunked a lot of money on absolute dross.

£7.7m on Haji Wright has potential to be the worst transfer of all time at this level.

Rotherham away, I never like playing teams after they've just suffered a heavy defeat.

Concerned we might push Millar too far by starting him again, had really bad cramp at the end of both games.

Probably the perfect game to reintroduce Whiteman and Brady, especially as I think Rotherham struggle with set pieces.

Harsh on Ledson but i'd drop him as him and Whiteman are just way too slow to be starting together. And, i'd bring Frokjaer back in to give us something a bit different, plus Holmes is another one that I wouldn't want to push too far, fitness wise. Hughes back in for Whatmough.

In the last 10 seasons of the Champ, only 5 teams have won 6 of their first 7 games - 3 of the 5 are this year!

Our only big money signing who has looked any good (van Ewijk) is now injured for at least 3 months, if not 6-8 months. Relegation battle here we come!

Seems like we could have our biggest 'home' crowd in my lifetime tomorrow, as Blackburn have returned a lot of tickets which has enabled us to put an extra 500 fans in the away section - first time I've seen that!

Solid side, says a lot that Whiteman can't get back in the team, and Millar and Frokjaer coming off the bench is a great prospect.

Played well, should be comfortably winning but Hugill pulled a 20 yarder out of nothing. We equalised on the stroke of half time, I fancy us to win but as ever, the next goal is big.

Final straw for me today. These pricks won’t get another penny of mine or a minute of my time while Chansiri owns us or Xisco is in charge.

We made today much more difficult than it should have been. We were dominant and should have scored more really. 29 shots!

Another thriller at PR. Bookies have us 2nd favourites now. I'll take it.

Norwich easily the poorest side to visit HP this season. Seems like the omission of Sergeant and Barnes may really hurt them.

From our point of view it was one of those games where everything we tried came off and scoring 6 certainly never flattered us.

We have felt hard done by a few times already this season but yesterday evened that out a bit. Roll on the short trip to Hull on Saturday

Just our luck that we have a really good start and so do two other teams.

Just saw on our forum that in the last 10 years, our start would have had us top, sitting 3pts over 2nd as a minimum.

West Brom at home, which is never easy, and then a really testing 5 games for us. My head says we'll drop away, but there is definitely something about this team this year, reminds me a little of the Billy Davies days.

We are an appalling side. What a waste of £20m.

After last nights win against Wolves with our reserve team (10 changes!), we're now 23 wins from 26 games. Insane stat. Although it will probably end soon, it's great to have so much positivity around the club after watching through years of misery.

West Brom at home, and we'll actually have more than one striker to choose from for the first time in 9 games.

They've started quite shit but still have a bunch of quality players, expecting another tight game that is settled by a single goal.

Millar to come back in after being rested at Rotherham and I desperately want to see Whiteman back in the lineup. Duane Holmes has been brilliant but i'd start Frokjaer for a bit of extra creativity, and then bring on Holmes for his running later in the game.

Being cocky as fuck after 3 games also seems a bit silly to me.

Hull were top of the league after 3 games last season, they ended up 15th. I think Reading were also in the top six after 7 or 8 games and got relegated.

I'll just leave this here.

23 wins from 26.
