Yeah you aren't a basket case club anymore so I'd have no particular worries for the future. It just takes a few seasons sometimes. Will be interesting to see how you go next season with a full pre season and signings for Burchnall.

They obviously know where the issues are - Burchnall doesn’t go an interview without saying we need more focus and intensity, and Ross (his assistant) was talking the other day about desperately needing to sign some ‘animals’ in the summer. Our issue is completely psychological and I don’t think it’s solvable without shaking the squad up a fair bit.

As if Sir Danny Rowe hasn’t scored yet. Chesterfield sort yourselves out. Ruining his legacy. Just give him the ball should be the only instruction from your manager. The rest of the team run around like a prime Dirk Kuyt and give him the ball. Clearly a team full of plodders and have a go heroes. Recognise greatness by all means but don’t be intimidated by it.

He was in Gary Liddle's pocket but then everybody is so that's not exactly fat boy Rowe's fault, but if you're paid 3k a week you'd expect better.

Other than his bimmler of a freekick the fat arse didn't do much, spent most of his evening trotting after the ball, blowing out his arse.

Think we’ll be fine tbh, we have stable, wealthy owners for just about the first time I can remember, I’m not going to worry just because they got rid of an underwhelming manager and the replacement has had a few disappointing results so far. Some of the stuff certain Notts fans have been coming out with lately, getting relegated next season etc, has been laughable*

*feel free to screenshot when we plunge to NLN next May
You're right about the club stability, couldn't ask for more stable owners.
As for the manager I've huge doubts and although I fully believe in stats, saying we should have gained more points over the last ten games based on expected goals ( XG ) and that we've been unlucky I think under plays the statistical value of a manager. If you could reduce it down purely to stats we could all do it but we can't.

3k a week

We deservedly were beaten by the better side. Hartlepool and Stockport have our number in this league so although I still think we will make the play offs, and they are a lottery, I feel any of those will have too much for us on the day.

Another biggy tomorrow, coming thick and fast now!

I guess we’ll see Optimez, I think he should get a shot with his own squad tho, he must have been cursing some of NA’s picks at times. Just some of the more hyperbolic comments from some of our lot on social media have tickled me lately that’s all, I suspect it’s a lockdown thing and people not being able to vent at games/in the pub etc. The other day someone suggested we needed to put £1,000 in each and adopt a ‘German ownership model’ at Meadow Lane, and received quite a lot of support...

We're going to have the lowest finish in our history. If we play next season like the last ten games we'll be leaving the scrap heap league to join the mini skip league, I'm not surprised fans are kicking off.
Huge summer for us coming up in terms of recruitment with £500,000 less to do it with than we had when we came down. Next season looks like it's going to be really competitive.

I’m not sure you can really extrapolate a poor run of results one season into the next and say it means we’ll be going down, especially as only three drop and Dover will be starting on -20. I’ll probably see what happens over the summer before I get my NLN ground guide, not certain next season will be any more competitive either tbh, I know Hollywood Red constantly tells us next season will be Wrexham’s, but I’m happy with any of the current top four being replaced by Grimsby & Southend (no disrespect). Time will tell I guess!

minus 12 - which means we probably won't win the league :)

For balance I have also said even though we are 6th we are not good enough this year and wont go up.
As for next season....

Has your chairman still got an appeal in?
Yes

He said

He said: “I would like to provide supporters and the many well-wishers who have contacted the club, with an update regarding our appeal against sanctions imposed by the National league and preparations for next season.

“For obvious reasons, I am unable to provide any detail around the substance of our appeal, which now looks unlikely to take place before mid-June but suffice to say we have appointed Queen’s Counsel to represent us at the hearing.

“I must pay tribute to and thank both Sean Gorman and Simon Tovey of the Outset Group Maidstone for their legal and practical advice, which quite frankly has been superb.

“It has been freely given, extremely thorough and without them, we could not have come this far and all our supporters should be extremely appreciative of what they have done for our club and we are as confident as we can be that we have a just and indisputable case.

Dover should count themselves lucky they weren't demoted to the Isthmian, not appealing a points deduction.

Pfft, we finished 7th in the Unibond First Division North the first season after we reformed, below local West Yorkshire neighbours Ossett bloody Albion, and 5 other pub teams with a combined average home gate totalling half of our 1100. Sorry, we Shaymen get kinda competitive when it comes to being shite. It's all we have :ds:

Very bizarre team selection from PW once again. 4 centre backs starting and only 1 striker. He said yesterday he would be very happy with a point and pretty much said the same against Stockport. Last few games he's started to go away from what has got us success.

The games we've won this season is generally because we've scored 2/3 goals but the mentality has completely changed. Why play defensively when we concede a clanger pretty much every game. Not confident in the slightest.

Enjoy the points Yeovil. What manager rests the top goalscorer in a game we need something from 5 games before the end of the season.

Torquay... stranger things have happened but I can only see a Torquay win today. We haven't been the same since Hollis, McCourt and Asante got injured. We are missing Weston on top of those today so we are short.

I'd be amazed if we got 3 points - I'd take 1.

Chesterfield are the new, new Notts. This will dismay some Notts fans, who like to use the improvement since Rowe came in as a stick to beat our new coaching team/owners over the head.

Fantastic price today Torquay. They’ve got my money on them anyway. Sir Danny anytime though

Sam Barratt's outrageous 50 yarder gives Maidenhead the lead against Wrexham.

We’re two points off the play-offs with two games in hand as it stands. We’ve taken 18 points from 17 games. What are the rest of you doing!?!
