Six week holidays 1997. Twas the early hours and my cousin was sleeping over. We were midway through a Russ Meyer classic on the awesome new Channel 5 when the bulletin interrupted the film. Was quite annoying. Naturally we shouldn't have been up at such an hour so had to pretend to my parents we were surprised at the news later that morning. RIP.

I remember my girlfriend's mum rushing into her bedroom to tell us it had happened, waking me up. Didn't even fucking knock.

Large doe looking eyes (as in Bambi) with a 'it's all about me me me attitude' - oh, and she should have worn a seat belt.

I went on a school trip to Paris a few weeks after the demise of the people's princess™ and they took us to the tunnel to see all the flowers laid out. There were a lot of people on rollerskates.

Does she take it up the ARSENAL. Ah, when Gooners actually sang at matches instead of play on their phones whilst eating cucumber sandwiches.

That statue in the op is horrendous, I hope whoever made it is still a prisoner in the tower of London.

Heard about it getting on the carpark transfer bus after arriving home from holiday in Malta. By the time we got home the news was in that she'd snuffed it. Not a fuck was given, and the TV not turned on for a week. Queen of Hearts my arse.

Tony Blair hamming it right up at the funeral, it was an early warning sign, with hindsight.

some fucking woman waking me up at 4am to tell me this bint had died, realised I was actually on a floor of a house I didn't know with a cat asleep on my legs. Told her I couldn't give a toss before then finding out I was nearly 50 miles from where I lived at a house party I had no recollection of even getting to. Fun Times.

I kind of woke up, asked my brother what was on tv, and why was it on every channel. He said Price Phillip had arranged some terrible murders.

Then we went and had an ice cream, so everything was ok in the end.

I had to go with my mum and dad to DFS because they wanted a new sofa. It served the family well for many years.

Me and my friend laughed at my dad because he teared up watching the funeral. He had also cried two years prior when taking me and the same friend to see Casper at the flicks.

Mr. Slater is clearly an emotional man. Do you remember his reaction to 9/11?

I would have been about 19 at the time and I remember my mates knocking on for me when the funeral was on TV. My mum said I wasn't allowed out as it was too important of an occasion.

I just returned to her breast.
