This is the intellectual mans cup final.
With three games left of the season we play Scunthorpe... I think usually the mid-table cup is won around that time... maybe earlier, especially given the circumstances this season. That could be a literal cup final with the winner/loser taking the mid-table title.

This could be an interesting game if both teams had to lose to win the cup, I`d get Joe Anyon in as an emergency loan keeper.

Frealaf is right; quite a few sides are out of the running to win this much coveted trophy this year due to Boro's poor season.

And while the U's are not going to win this, I can't say I'm that bothered seeing we've already won the Ibehredivisie (aka the CUFC league) this season. Up the U's :woo:
Was curious about this claim since when you made it we still had two CUFC matches to play, though not enough to look into it since we've been poor and so I know we're not likely to win it.

You've got 7 points, beat Colchester twice and got a point when you came to BP.
Colchester have 3 having lost to you twice but beaten us.
At the time we only had 1 point from our draw with you, but now we've beaten you and have 4.

We play Colchester this weekend. Methinks you may have counted your chickens before they hatched. You'll probably still win it but I really hope we get to make you look like a prize twat. Think we'd need to thrash Colchester though to undo the damage they did to our goal difference when they thrashed us.

I only realised my mistake on Sunday when posting the prediction league fixtures as I was under the mistaken impression that Carlisle had already met Col U twice this season, a draw and a defeat. Therefore, I thought the game at the Abbey was a dead rubber.

Crawley being safe from relegation before the play off's will be a first - and we'll take that as an improvement over the past three seasons.

Oh wait shoddycollins , you're saying I counted my chickens before they hatched as I was sure we were going to beat you? Haha. Definitely not; I was going to predict a draw on here before the site went down. I've been supporting the U's for too long now to know not to do that.

I wasn't the least surprised by your win over us 'cos I felt that it was coming, although I was very disappointed by the performance of every single U's player on the day.

So who won it last season? Or was it just null and void.

in the thread it said Grimsby were the holders, surely they never win anything.
