Makes a pleasant change from the usual pessimism. If it stops Salford going up i hope you stay there. Doubt we will be bothering you up there. Too inconsistent.

He said he was ignoring me before christmas but i was the only one responding to him and he replied. I think he secretly loves my chastisement. Bit weird but it takes all kinds. I think The Viking Magpie will be stuck in the other forum for a while yet.

Its well documented Carlisle did not have a pot to piss in last summer. Beech worked wonders to get a team ready for the season. To be where they are now is way better than most would have you down for.
Your problem is that most of these players are out of contract this summer.
If i was a lge1/2 manager and i needed a Defensive midfielder for example i would have Jon Melish high on any list
I would imagine he is not on a great deal and money will turn his head

Well yeah we might not be able to offer L1 salaries to our players, but you never know. Not a clue really what our financial situation is and I think the stuff about us being so poor we'd have to go part time was a bit overstated. We've probably more money than Accrington stanley who are doing pretty well in L1.

But it's kind of contradictory that we've got fans here from mid table sides saying there's not one carlisle player who would improve their team, yet at the same time we're going to be plundered in the summer whether we go up or not.

If apparently our players aren't good enough for a mid table L2 club then I don't think we need to worry about L1 clubs pinching them all in the summer.

No need to worry about knowing your clubs financial status. I am sure our resident know all has them ready at his fingertips ready to give you a full rundown.

Had to be one of them two. For the most part everybody else is ok.
