Mental they kept this under wraps until yesterday! No one knew anything about it, even those supposedly ITK on our forum until 24 hours ago.

It does probably explain why Winkelman was so unusually free and loose with the signings this summer!

At least the guy’s family own the most successful club in Kuwait so clearly have some understanding of football, albeit in a different context. Also good it’s been discussed over the last year and not a rushed sale and also good the consortium is buying both the club and stadium vs splitting it all up which is always a route to hell. We are now debt free too for the first time ever (after previously being £12.5m in the red…), so all great news on the face of it…

Look forward to the Netflix documentary, Premier League, administration, points deductions and fan protests all to come, culminating in a relocation to Kuwait and merger with Kuwait SC.

The fact that he's been attending games for a year and has seemingly owned a house in MK for a while, signs are positive at the start.
Had a house for a year but only been there once as he is still driving round all those fucking roundabouts trying to find it again

This was put up on our forum. Mainly posting for the benefit of non-Dons fans. Interesting detail. Who’d have thought MK was a holiday destination!

There’s former WFC fans I know who are still struggling 22 years later, so give the guy a break!

Surprise to me but I suppose Pete has had enough and if he is selling the stadium I dont expect the Bowl will come with it. Maybe his goal for a while, back to his music roots.

It’s the entire stadium:mk group which I’d imagine included all the potential training ground sites we’ve purchased over the years

I suppose that thought will make you happier than the one we fly up the leagues past you on the wings of oil money.

Neither will be true I expect but one thing I would like is a core of our own players that can perform at a higher division. It seemed to work for Ipswich.

We won't be frivolous to the extent of bombing up the leagues based on what I've read about Kuwaiti businessmen and this family in particular, but it does come with added security in an owner that could afford to host a Championship and higher club rather than one that would relish being an underdog at that level.

First things first though, we have to get out of this league. I'm not trying to get too ahead of myself.

No, because i have seen these owners come in before...........Do not expect the EFL to have done a proper fit for purpose...............History says they do not.

Is his money oil money?????

No. Various sources amongst the three main money men behind Fahad Al Ghanim, primarily banking, construction and high end car sales. Also a lot of soft power within Kuwaiti politics.

Consortium doubt he will be interested in football......You may get yourself a new 7k capacity state of the art stadium out of it
MK Dons stadium will soon have retail and houses on it, you may scorn but they have no allegiance to you.

Could be PR spin but given his family also own one of the most successful Middle Eastern clubs and he's been living in Milton Keynes (as his UK home) for years, I'd argue that everything you said there is incorrect.

I can’t stand in the town I was born in, you are right, because Milton Keynes is a city. You’re making sense now…well, at least I’m trying to make your nonsense compute anyway.

To you and around 4k more people your football team is part of your city, but to 20m or so other people who follow football in this country you will always be Wimbledon

Your City, Football team, Roundabouts, and Cows are all made of concrete but are as plastic as it comes

I never agreed that you should move to Milton Keynes or the name change, and i can see why loyal fans deserted you to form a new team. In 50 years time you may be seen as ground breakers when Wrexham Red Sox and Birmingham Broncos are playing in the MLS league and Manchester Madras and Newcastle Nomads are ripping up the new Arab Super league
