Has the general bad feeling towards the Franchise on here extended to a protest in the form of a refusal to start a match thread for the game tonight? If so, apologies.

We probably have a better points per game average at Old Trafford or Anfield than we do at Milton Keynes, and it’ll be quite a surprise if the current group of heroes improve on that. My innocent naivety assumes it’ll be better than Saturday and MK don’t score many goals, so 2 to them and 1 to us.

In all honesty I’ll be surprised if we don’t win, we don’t score many but we don’t ever really need too. Can’t see past a hone win.

I'm not expecting too much tonight as we had to work very hard to overcome a spirited Wobblers side at the weekend and Tis's reluctance to use the bench did seem to leave some very tired looking players - particularly the front three. A clean sheet of course (that's a given) but I'd be very surprised if we did any more than minimum necessary which appears to be the Tisdale way.

1-0

That pen and red is probably the worst decision you will see all season.

Whether it’s worse than the one given against us in last season’s play off semi final i’m not sure, but it’s up there. An absolute disgrace of a decision.

A soft penalty? Your guy fell over the ball and he gave a penalty then ignored the new double jeopardy rule and sent him off. He could give 500 soft free kicks our way and it wouldn’t even out.

Game completely hinges on the penalty/red card. Up until then it was even with us looking just as likely to get be next goal. Even taken as a whole, we deserved something from the game, and we certainly deserved the chance to try and go on and win it without the referee intervening.

One of those decisions that’s incredibly hard to take. Just the penalty would’ve been bad enough, but to send him off as well, completely ignoring the rules, was disgraceful.

The double jeopardy rule doesn’t mean if it’s a penalty it’s not a red, essentially I believe it is if he makes a genuine attempt at the ball then it’s not a red, but if he just barges him over or takes him out without any attempt on the ball it is a red.

Not seen the incident to comment on this one though.

I hope the ref goes round to his nan’s house and accidentally sits on the sharp end of her knitting needles.

We had a decent run of reffing decisions the first half of last season, but since then not so much. The penno was a shocker but the red is inexcusable.

He still gave you basically everything you went down for. How Aneke’s ‘goal’ was a foul I’ll never know. How Healey being clearly tripped on the edge of the box wasn’t a foul I’ll never know.

I’ve never reacted like this but I laughed when I saw that. Doesn’t even look a foul if it had happened in the centre circle let alone the penalty area.

Worse than Cov City play off penalty decision on first viewing

Yes, two decisions in the last few minutes when you were already 2-1 up definitely made up for that decision at 0-1.

Would need to see it again but the Aneke goal looked a blatant foul from the other end - shoved him in the back.

It’s worse than the Coventry one - at least Tootle actually made a tackle. Turley just happens to be in the same postcode as a man who falls over.

Maybe be felt guilty. Maybe at half time somebody had a word and tried to readdress the balance. Must happen in football. Nothing given after that has anywhere near the same impact obviously

It was all through the game though, whenever a county player went down it always seemed to be a foul.

I had to ask myself "if that was an MK player against a Notts County player would I think it was a pen?" and the answer is no. It wasn't a pen. It was a 50/50 which the Notts player won.

Shouldn't have been a pen, and therefore no red card. Notts were the better team for most of the first half, and the first 10-15 mins of the second half and the pen changed the game.

Not sure why Notts subbed Vaughan, he was one of their best players until he went off.

Overall, these are the type of things that need to go in your favour when you are near the top and chasing promotion. We had a bit of an off game today.

Again, none of it is relevant in the context of that decision.

You massively got away with one and lucked a win you didn’t deserve, enjoy it but we’re entitled to have a moan about it.

Think the penalty and red is fair if I’m honest.

Not for me. The guy just literally falls over. It’s debatable at the very best, nowhere near clear enough to effectively hand victory to one side or other, which it did.

And then the ref blows up 10 seconds early despite copious time wasting by the Dons during the 5 mins injury time!

Shame because until the pen I don’t think Fitz had a save to make and we were looking the likelier to make it 0-2. Helluva chance for Allesandra - if only he had taken it on. We were getting all kinds of joy down the MK flanks too. Unlucky for Vaughan to have to go off too when we decided to bring on an extra CB - his best game by far for me (bar giving it away in a terrible position once).

Incredibly harsh, game changing but an encouraging performance no doubt as we expected nothing for very different reasons . No guarantee we will follow it up against out of form Swindon cos football doesn’t work like that when you are near the bottom .

One thing we can’t do is go on and on about it all season, we’re better than that as fans, a bit special you could say for L2. Once our manager has an important chat with the referee after the game (which is looked almost giddy about in the interview) it’s done.

Poor decision, changed the game, but it happens to all teams. It’s nothing new. I just hope the red card is overturned or the injustice and damage will continue after last nights mtach.

I saw Aneke shove as pretty blatant and was surprised when it looked like he’d given the goal. Joined in the celebrations and everything. :) Classic MK Dons to leave the goal celebration music running for a good twenty seconds or so.

As for the pen and sending off, soft but makes up for the multiple ones we’ve been denied this seaosn by inept officials up and down the country. For what it’s worth, he did lean on him and there was enough contact to put a player off balance. It certainly wasn’t a dive. All down to the refs interpration of how deliberate or not it was after that in respect of the red card.

To be honest, you get some, you lose some, County were happy to take the extremely dubious one to beat us last season!
