To be honest, you get some, you lose some, County were happy to take the extremely dubious one to beat us last season!

Ha, that’s true. It just feels worse when we looked to be on the way to an unexpected away win at a decent side three days after a 4-0 thumping. If the ref gives the pen then by the letter of the law he has to give the red too in that situation, just incredibly harsh.

Anyway, quite a bit to be positive about, on to Saturday and a woefully out of form Swindon at home we go. As Enzo Scifo says, 0-1 away win written all over it!

Again, none of it is relevant in the context of that decision.

t.

Unless one of the MK Dons players/coaching staff had a quick ear in the official's ear to put him under pressure which we all know happens during games and at half time.

The football gods have been punishing us ever since that one, what with last night and an entire play-off tie.

True, all the luck we got last season in the league with ( unfortunate harsh sendings off for opposition (Lincoln, Chesterfield etc) , more than evened out in that two legged semi final alone. Offside goal counting, not offside goal being ruled out, awful penalty decision. So bad it was almost comical. Thank god the Sky Blues were excellent in the second leg especially first half or we would still be upset about it now. We aren’t, we’re better than that.

As I said it happens, both for and against. That’s why you can’t get too butt hurt by it like some clubs fans appear to on here.

Red all day long, can't tackle from behind very dangerous could have buckled his leg and broke it.

And then the ref blows up 10 seconds early despite copious time wasting by the Dons during the 5 mins injury time!...

......Unlucky for Vaughan to have to go off too when we decided to bring on an extra CB - his best game by far for me (bar giving it away in a terrible position once).

I thought Vaughan was Notts' standout player all game (after Alessandra), thought it was a strange decision to take him off instead of someone else....and yes, the ref did blow early, he seemed very keen to end it.

Classic MK Dons to leave the goal celebration music running for a good twenty seconds or so.

Think the PA guy even announced Chuks as the goalscorer for that disallowed one, but then quickly realised he was being subbed off. It was painful to watch and listen to with the goal music just carrying on.

I thought Vaughan had a good game but was the obvious player to take off - we needed to get another centre back on and were always going to have to go more direct with ten men.

Makes your moaning about your lads red card on Saturday even more laughable. Timing is perfect. Thank the lord this incident and subsequent penalty and red card didn’t involve a Lincoln City player, the meltdown that would of ensued would of been unbearablele. The forum collectively should all be relieved it wasn’t.

Very decent honest and considered thoughts and comments from MK Dons fans. Good to see

Behind? Or a shoulder to shoulder from the side?#getontheweights

Either way at least it didn’t involve studs up! Never like to see that. Thank goodness for shin pads eh? ;)

Yep they make footballers wear them because believe it or not people's shins come into contact with other people's boots all the time in this sport, strange huh? Red card every time, right?

No not at all but definitely in the Lincoln vs Cambridge game last Saturday. The ref said so.

I hear it was then appealed , reviewed and subsequently rejected.

I’m surprised it was appealed at all, didn’t you see that photo and video.

I'm guessing you're a ref, that's not even a foul never mind a pen and if that's a red we may as well watch basketball.

Notts played far better than of late, the ref screwed us.

Used to be. "Denying a clear goal scoring opportunity", it's in the book somewhere can't remember what page.

Can we just say it was one of those that some will say was and some will say wasn't. I'm sure Chopper Harris would be laughing his little cotton socks off at it even being called a foul but this is 2018 not 1980.

The important thing is we are up to second and that's despite not being prolific in the goals department so at the moment I'm a happy bunny. :2thumb:

Well the ref said so in your game too so c'est la vie ay.

Lol how come you didn’t have this opinion on Saturday and Sunday? I’m sure I mentioned it at least once or twice.

I wish you had that c’est la vie attitude more often buddy.

The Ref, the FA panel, numerous Imps fans on here and the majority on here Vs. Impish and the Cambridge staff before they saw the video. Hmmmmm , case closed.

Let’s see if Notts appeal, and what the FA say to see if it’s the same outcome

I can see how the ref gave it in real time, but struggling to see how anyone can view it as a foul with the benefit of the replay.

We’ve won the appeal, which is something I guess.

Impish, looks like the FA panel considered it to be more shoulder to shoulder (like I said) and less a tackle from behind (like you said).

Glad you gaveup being a Ref seeing as you’ve got it wrong twice (2 from 2) this week alone. 100% wrong, at least you are consistent.

Haha. I thought Impish's post, and I quote, ''Red all day long, can't tackle from behind very dangerous could have buckled his leg and broke it'' was a clear sign he wasn't being serious!

We all knew Vanni, we all knew.

Was he not being serious regarding the Lincoln red card too? Haha
