Poor to concede that after all the work, Smith was favourite to get it and runs to the centre rather than the ball

Great effort and fully deserved the point. Bar the penalty Brown was rarely tested although Aneke missed a sitter.

Some good performances all round.

Am pleased with that, with a bit more cutting edge could possibly have won. All the other teams chasing automatic can’t point at us for half arsing it today so well done Vale for a great effort.

So frustrating. Missing the penalty and just not getting the 3 points.

Played today how we had prior to the two games and MK were snuffed out fairly well.

Shame Hannant had to come off as he was decent today and their right back was on toast.

Monty is frustrating!

Aye that’s the problem with Montano, he didn’t do a great deal at all but you know out of nowhere he can just conjure something up. Thought Elliott tried hard and Conlon did a good job capped off by a really nice goal.

Would love to know where 7 minutes stoppage time came from though no harm done there ultimately.

Another dreadful decision for the penalty. Worse than the Exeter one! Some of these referees can't wait to give one instead of using their common sense.

I thought we more than held our own and once again it shows the terrible standard of this league that a pretty shite team like ours can give automatic promotion hopefuls a game. We NEED to get out of this league!

What’s the difference between that and Richarlison scoring yesterday in regards to the pen? Strange one. Ref was pants, booked one of our players after the MK lad slipped on the pitch! Then gave another high foot decision when their lad headed it at waist height. We’ve had some shit decisions this year and very few go our way!

MK were poor in fairness you’d think they were the ones playing the dead rubber and we were the ones fighting for something. Very slow and a shadow of the side that played so well at Vale Park in October when they looked excellent.

Mind you I did say I thought our high press would be perfect against them and so it proved. Ended up bringing on a big man to try and long ball it.

It’s a dire league really and that’s a bad inditement of ourselves after the seasons performance, both Mansfield and MK who are up there just couldn’t cope with the high press. Simple and one if Askey had of been appointed after the Lincoln disgrace when Aspin should of walked would of seen us far higher up the table.

Seen the replays of the save on the rebound from that penalty from Scott Brown and it just gets better and better with each viewing. I genuinely think he has been the difference between us kicking off next year in this league as opposed to the Conference. Just shows the value of having a quality keeper. Has probably gained us 10 points alone.

It's that in a nutshell. As soon as you press defenders in this league, they are invariably shite and will either give the ball straight back to you or make a mistake. We know that this tactic works, yet aspin used the 'stand off and hope for the best '.

At the moment, we haven't got good enough players for a plan b, but when executed properly it gives most teams a game in this league.

Totally agree. Best keeper in the league in my opinion and we should move heaven and earth to keep him. Thoroughly nice bloke off the pitch too.
