lol, imagine if we actually won or something.

You'll score early and win 3-0. Don't worry.

To be fair, that's probably the best Notts have played in a while but the gulf was huge. We just have shite players. Curtis Thomson injured is a massive blow. Only him and McCort can play football.

We had our chances to cut the deficit at the end but never really looked able to take the game to MK

Noble and JCR are back Saturday which should help with the loss of Thompson and McCourt. We really need a centre-back if McKenzie is injured though.

I'm encouraged by Spencer's return but it won't really mean anything if we have to persist with the likes of Edwards and Newton at the back with Mullins at right-back - although Dumbuya will be back for Walsall, Coventry at the latest.

Next 4 games are huge - Scunthorpe, Walsall, Coventry and Yeovil. After those 4 games we'll either be safe or relegated. We have to get 2 wins at the very least from those 4.

Roy Carroll made some amazing saves for the pies, could have been double figures if it wasn't for him.

Was that McCorts last game? Noble will be a big plus. Next Saturday is a must win

Much better second half. First half was infuriating to say the least, and it did look like Roy was going to keep us at bay. McCourt looked threatening, although missing the final ball.

The change in the Notts defence helped us, Lewis Baker started running things with Carruthers in midfield and Uncle Alan got his booking. His hair is still as glorious as the day he left.

Stunned to see Spencer, he instantly made Notts look a little more threatening. Should have scored two as well.

All in all a decent day, had a good chat at Half Time with Peter Taylor as well, talking about League One. Bloody nice bloke. :2thumb:

.

We were even more stunned, supposed to be out all season and has only been training a week - so the fact he looked relatively good and threatening without any football (not even a reserve team game or anything) since June is pretty astounding and absolutely huge for us.

Thought it was a bit of PR by Derry to stick him on the bench. Came on around the hour mark though!

Got himself in the right position to force Martin into an uncomfortable save for the goal, then deep into injury time had a header cleared off the line.

According to Notts official site the result was 'harsh' :bl:

During the game my Twitter feed was basically local journo calling it 'digging in' whilst the radio said it was harsh and then every now and again Jacob tweeting something like 'it looks like eleven drunks on the pitch' and 'we can't get near the ball'.

Everyone massively rims Derry when it comes to the local journos and radio.

Nearly my 6-1 prediction. Would have been if Devante Cole hadn't played full stop. Apart from his moves forward which were good, his finishing was abysmal, confidence looks completely shot and he's turning into Izale McLeod in his second spell here again. He missed at least three shots I counted on an open goal with or with the keeper as good as beaten.

Hopefully we can either loan someone in for Doncaster or start with Hitchcock or even Powell playing as a striker, Cole can go back to Man City. Otherwise I thought it was really positive from us today, we're looking like we did in the first half to the season again. How much difference it's made having Martin back again to the team's confidence in defending.

It has been pointed out on our forum that despite our abysmal away support, we took 645 fans to Notts County on Boxing Day at £24 a ticket whereas Notts only brought 559 in March at £10 a ticket. No history > loadsa history. #MASSIVE

P.S. This post should not be taken seriously.

WE'VE WON 4 LEAGUE GAMES SINCE OCTOBER AND HAVE A TEAM OF PLAYERS WHO PROBABLY STILL OWN VHS COLLECTIONS

Worth pointing out that there's sections of fanbases who refuse to attend MK Dons away games too. Dunno if your plastic fans know that.

Your goalkeeper today Bish was up there with Walker as one of the best keepers ive seen in league 1. He was absolutely superb.

Was thinking that too, looked like another great 'keeper but with 10 rubbish ones right in front of him like Walker.

Yeah, Carroll is superb when it comes to shot-stopping and claiming crosses. He's had the occasional howler because he's a nutter and every now and then it spills over and he'll do something rash but you can't fault he's a big asset and you can see why he was a Man Utd player (despite the fact people just seem to only think of the Pedro Mendes incident) - just a shame the defence is so bad. Would've been interesting to see how we'd have done if McKenzie hadn't had to go off injured and replaced by the horrendous Mike Edwards. Also, playing Newton at left-back and Adams in midfield was batshit mental when Adams has probably been our only consistently competent defender over the course of the season...and Newton is atrocious.

I think Carroll probably should've done better for the fourth, forgive him for having given up by then though tbh.

How's Lewis Baker doing MK fans?

One of the few who I think has the ability to eventually play premier league football.

Initially quite poor, was very anonymous in his early matches and had little influence on any of them. In the last few though he seems to have built up a decent midfield partnership with Carruthers and has been good playing in the centre midfield role Alli usually has rather than the number ten one. Thought he was one of the best players on the pitch yesterday, perhaps starting to follow Bamford's route being quiet at first but with league experience and playing time quickly turning into a top player.

Would be concerned though what happens to him after next week with Alli likely to return as well as Potter, it'll break up the midfield and likely return him to his original role which I'm not sure was working for him so far.

Getting better game by game. After playing in that glorified friendly U21 league for so long he seemed a little off the pace for Senior football, but he's starting to look pretty effective. Very good yesterday.

It's a shame he's off to England U20 duty next week, but think he'll be useful in April and the Play-offs.

Thanks to Chelsea for offering him to us!

Same kind of composure and finish in front of goal that Bamford had really.
