When I replied to Saltire I meant that we were both always going to get knocked out at some stage, I didn't really care about getting knocked out as much as I would if we got knocked out of the FA Cup because we'd still be highly unlikely to win the CL if we were in it.

Always? Perhaps it's to make yourself feel better as a United fan after your pathetic elimination but by that you're saying we have no chance of winning it. Which isn't true. We have less chance than some other teams but that doesn't automatically rule us out. We proved in 2005 that, even when other teams are better on paper, with the right attitude and a bit of luck you can go all the way.
