Overall good value for the win in the end. Byers with a header off a corner and Cover scoring one after am I’m not sure what the fuck their keeper and defender were doing. Shouldn’t have been as close as it was in the end but a wins a win. Good free kick for them on their goal.

Thanks Carlisle. Only our second away win since Dec 23, and first time we have won two on the bounce since March 23! Overall I think we deserved it after that second half, but a lack of quality in the final third from both sides.

How did Carlisle not test our youth keeper at all apart from a couple speculative efforts at the end of the first half?

Very concerning performance, we just don’t look remotely dynamic without Jatta and Jones. Just one-paced passing and a bunch of attacking players that flatter to deceive, nice touches in and around but no presence in the box.

Take a point in the end, our record at Morecambe is grim. Probably should’ve won on the balance of play, but you can’t keep starting so slowly, going behind and having to chase the game. We’re finishing games really strongly so got to be cleverer about not getting caught out early.

Equaliser was a lovely bit of patient football tbf.

I think we can cope without one, but both is a struggle. They’re our ‘do something different’ players. Not expecting to see Jones for a while but hopefully Jatta is back next week.

If Carlisle are a team with money then I’d rather be skint.

I actually thought the ref was decent today. Consistent and set his stall out early with expectations but Donny players just kept fouling and making brain dead decisions. That Molineux one was beyond belief. The ref has already booked Madden for putting the ball in the net when offside, then Molineux does it even worse, whistle was long gone. And he was on a yellow. Ridiculous

Was lining up a post about how good a point that was after we equalised but to get the win while we've got the injury problems we do and with a 17 year old debutant in goal from the 12th minute is a great result.

Carlise have to be kicking themselves for not testing Auton more but we defended really well and made it difficult for them. They were better in the first half but we were much better in the second. Deliveries finding their men for us in the box in the second half being a vital difference there, think we were on 0/8 successful crosses at half time. Couple of great headers it looked like, no replays on today's stream though so will have to wait to see them again.

Feels like a match we wouldn't have won last season but as with last weekend, we dug deep at times and showed great tenacity and spirit.

Be interesting to see the replay of the ball over the line for Morecambe and the County players with there heads in there hands knowing Morecambe had scored a late winner ,for some c*** to then kick the ball out then 1 of our players sent off for arguing with the ref

We didn't test him enough because we were trying to walk it in and in the 95th minute too when a goal down the fucking useless overpaid cowards and we get beat off a fucking shitty tinpot club who lucked their way back into the football league and a club who no one knows or likes.

Looked like today was the day but wasn't to be.

Probably should've won is a stretch in eyes. Awful first half performance. Poor set piece defending in the first minute to concede from corner and then to gift a free header from a deep free kick in injury time is frankly criminal.

Created 3 good chances in the second half but hardly troubled their keeper all game. Only McGoldrick 1st half and Crowley 2nd half could create anything remotely dangerous. Very disjointed.

After last week's late controversial decision against us looks like the footballing gods have more than made amends wrongly not giving a goal to the home side when it looked clearly over the line.

Perhaps the sun was in the officials eyes. Happy to get a point but it's a poor result and worse performance.

Utterly abysmal second half, a pathetic bottle job from these bunch of losers.

Credit to Grimsby, fully deserved their win.

As stated earlier in the thread, Williamson will now be well aware of the absolute mess Simpson has left him.

Get to fuck. We 100% deserved to lose that game. You cannot perform like we did second half and expect anything other than a defeat. If it wasn’t for a few good saves from Lewis it could have been 4 or 5.

This delusion that you have about this team is crazy! Its awful. Yeah some good individuals, but as a team it’s absolutely shit.

Let’s play a game of which Grimsby players would get in Carlisle’s side now.

I’ll start with our 17 year old goalkeeper
To be fair I thought our keeper played well. Stopped it from being 5-2

I couldn't go today but indications are the keeper picked up a real bad injury with the post or something . Any Carlisle or Town fans know what happened?

I couldn’t make it so already, err, been able to see a replay… angle wasn’t amazing but didn’t look over the line tbh.

There was no replay, but due to how serious it was it must have been a Collison with the post.

That still is even less use than the TV angle, the ball’s in the air.

Carver is part of the problem at this club.

The problem is the fact that they didn't sack Simpson sooner and give a new manager the whole summer to put his plans in place, now we have to wait until fucking January again.

Another season wasted thanks to Paul fucking Simpson.

You don't know the back story to us then do you really , I know you are trolling but it's still mildly amusing - i would take the 2 lads we have in charge over the yanks (no offence ) made their 100's of millions here rather than on foreign soil in the main and are driving forward , investing and the potential is there . When those Pikies get bored they will be back over the pond and you will be looking for the next Jimmy Glass
