yes and that has been our downfall.....We have players like Sadlier,John and Dempsey all good lge1 pros not getting a look in week after week

Its taken two injuries/illness for Evatt to stumble on a decent back three......We simply dont know our best 11
You don't have the best squad for depth though.

Can you afford to invest heavily in January?
Investing is a gamble.....Will investment take us to the next level maybe....then what???

Only see Ipswich and Sheff Wed kicking on in the championship. The rest including us its too early.

Plymouth will enjoy a season in the sun
Barnsley, Peterboro and Wycombe just yo yo

Our owners are shrewd business people and may have buyers lined up if we reach the Championship

Everything is in place for further investment.......We are NOT the club of a decade back

Debatable as i said its our downfall..........Always said there was better 11s out there and if you go to that post in or around August i named both Sheff Wed and Ipswich.

You play your best 11 every week you get consistency

We don't have a set XI, Moore uses the squad.

I don't think losing Santos would be a bad thing. He's been a bit of a liability this season hasn't he?
He had a couple of shaky games earlier in the season after coming back from injury against yourselves and Wednesday in particular. But as someone that watches him week in week out he’d be a huge miss if we lost him. Was in the league 1 team of the season last season and I’m pretty sure we had the best defence in the league in terms of goals conceded before Shrewsbury loss where he was out with this breathing issue. He does seem to always have a shocker against you mind. When he’s back we need to play Toal, him and Johnston at the back. I’d be really happy with that.

Whilst we’ve conceded some soft goals this season… going into December im sure I read we had the best defensive record in the league. We have/had a mentality issue of not switching on at the start of games and giving ourselves too much to do but our problem is not at the back…. It’s that we don’t take our chances. Our build up is usually pretty good… We get into the final third and box enough but final decision/pass is poor or we miss great opportunities. Look at that Charles miss against Derby. We’ve been doing that all season. We are crying out for a goalscorer.

And another massive issue is that we don’t score set pieces. We must be the worst team in the league from attacking set pieces. The best teams in the country can do everything. City score loads from set pieces despite Pep being a football purist. It’s something we have to sort out rapidly.

We have not scored a set-piece goal all season (save for Liam Sercombe's penalty against Bristol Rovers).

In fact, we have not scored a headed goal in the League this season either.

I agree with all of your points there.

I just wish our fans would shut up about the boring stuff, it’s embarrassing.

On the Oxford fans forum, your fans have so many compliments about our team, despite everything our fans have been.

I was confused by the comments they were making about your keeper though. Thought he had a good game, if you ignore the first goal. He made some cracking saves that kept the score down to 3-0
Probably the best side we’ve face this season, though I’m in no doubt we greatly assisted with our capitulation after 15 minutes.

Even Wes Burns had a pop at supporters for their reaction when the game was won. Struck me as peculiar.

Ed McGinty wasn’t brilliant though he’s only played in the League of Ireland so it’s a step up. We’ve got three senior keepers on the books and each (in fairness to McGinty he’s not played) but all are shaky right now.
