Verging on libel here but there you go. That said I've heard it's fine as long as you use the word "allegedly". Whatever. Sue me.

We finally get back to the Abbey after a 3 game run on the road has taken us to Yorkshire, Cumbria and Sarf London, yielding one win, one draw and one defeat.

Crawley have had 3 tough league games so far against sides that I expect to be in the top half in Portsmouth, Wimbledon and Oxford. The Red Devils have taken 2 points so far which isn't that bad from that run in my opinion.

That said, if we want to be challenging at the top we need to be winning these sort if home games. We've got enough to do it, will just depend on what 11 pulls out of the hat this week.

Any hope of a decent away following or am I being optimistic?

3-0 Cambridge, although I reserve the right to change my mind at 2.30 on Saturday when I see what XI we've picked.

Rather optimistic for you there Tom, or perhaps it's my pessimism as I never predict us to win by that much!! I think we'll win mind, 2-0 for me(huge difference I know) but an even bolder prediction is that the goal machine corr won't score, berry and Roberts will.

Set piece onslaught.

The return of Yates should be entertaining.

Rumour has it that the new Hotpoint at the club is actually for washing the kit.
As for the score prediction, it's hard to say. We lack impact up front but seem reasonably solid at the back - not that I've been there to see it (I've come out in sympathy with some banned supporters as I dislike injustice). I would be happy for us to take our third draw in four league matches.

This will be a tough game but after a few days rest and off the back of a very good win at Wimbledon, I think it will be 2-0.

It's good to see Cambridge back up where they belong and doing well.
Looking forward to the trip, having been twice in the Conference days(one win/one defeat)
I can't see anything other than a Home win, we are light upfront.
I would be ecstatic to come away with a point.

We should win - so long as Corr is fit (and plays). 1-0.

Looks like Corr is out for tomorrow as we've just signed a striker on loan from Leicester.

Can't make tomorrow(I'll be at Norwich v Stoke) but I'm still quietly confident, think it will tough but we'll scrap the win, I'll change my prediction to 1-0 with the white pele scoring.

Not even gonna try and guess the lineup.

Laker, Tom and Alan, your reviews on the game will be appreciated.

Woah what are you doing at Norwich v Stoke? Norwich are my fair weather team, didn't realise you had an allegiance at one if these too?!

Glad we've got a striker in, just hope he can do a job for us. Frankly I'd take a 1-0 win with a scrappy own goal if need be tomorrow.

Yeah I'm less convinced about 3-0 now but there's still a strong possibility this is all a ruse and Corr will start.

No allegiance as such but I do like Norwich as a team and place, long story short, I'm visiting my other halfs family who are made on Norwich and there's a spare ticket going this wk end, we was seeing them anyway so thought why not!!! Only been a couple of times before so it's not regular thing, my u's always come first obviously.

Think it's good we've got another striker in and although it may indicate corr is a no go tomorrow it really wouldn't surprise if he started, you know what the dick is like, as long as he sorts the defence and midfield out then I'm confident we'll have enough about us regardless of who's up top.

Forever tainted by the fat EVANS and the Majeed brothers, Crawley is one of the teams that I least look forward to seeing - even the name feels slightly dirty. Nothing that has happened in recent years has redeemed them - so I just look forward to getting the match over with and hopefully trousering 3 points. I'm pleased that Josh Simpson has escaped their clutches - he deserved better.

Still in early season optimistic mode, boosted by the second half at Kingston, I'm hoping for and can envisage a clean sheet. If we get the midfield right (I'd go for Newton Keane Morrissey Berry Dunk but Richard will probably want more height and play Hughes ahead of Morrisey) then I'd be happy with Simpson and Slew up front and a 2-0 outcome.

I haven't noticed any youth/marketing initiatives so, with a modest Crawley following and so many localish alternative attractions :dis:, we may get our lowest Saturday home gate of the season out of the way (4,700ish?). For the equivalent fixtures last year we were pulling in around 3,000 home fans for Morecambe and Carlisle.

Wildlife side-bar: I anticipate a good showing of dragonflies, (hopefully a few Emperors) in front of the Habbin this afternoon.

I couldn't go as I'm working. Which is a shame as I like visiting the Cows....Please say they've still there.

In our three league games I don't think a forward has had a shot so far so if we win this I will be open mouthed. Still our back line looks good so I don't envisage a high scoring game. 0-0 when I just checked.

Casey

Obviously don't know what I'm talking about. A forward scores for Crawley as I typed.

I'm in shock. Didn't think we had three goals within 90 minutes in us.

Bloody obvious I don't know what I'm talking about!

3 goals away from home for a team with a weak attack is never to be sneezed at. The ref will have favoured us and the link will have been boss eyed but I'm a happy little bunny. All pink and fluffy too.

I was not there so be honest lads. Was it bad by you or good by us?

Bloody hell, we were beyond terrible today. We were lethargic all game, no movement, no ideas and probably a pass completion rate in single digits.

Utterly pathetic.

We obviously missed big bad Barry but that wasn't the sole reason we lost - other usually reliable players just didn't turn up. Hard to judge Crawley today as we simply beat ourselves.

Add in the regular cheating, diving and elbowing from the away team and it was a miserable spectacle all round.

We were awful. Crawley were competent and Deacon was very effective playing behind that lump Harrold.

Too windy for dragonflies. The South stand was full, with 1,000 kids and parents alongside the 173 Crawley faithful, taking the attendance up to 5,459

I'm having a week off football and focussing on the sheepdog trials for a while.

Couldn't make today's match, but my partner told me she had a bad feeling we were going to lose today, 'you won't be missing anything' she told me. Turned out she was right FFS, and even listening to Johnno was painful, so I can only imagine what you guys had to put up with at The Abbey.

That was absolutely atrocious, all the fears we've had building up in the first few games were all realised in one today, no credit for anyone, players or management. Crawley were no better than Newport, but we didn't deserve a goal, and never looked like getting one either.

Dunn, dire, his kicking is costing us so much. Not at a fault for any of the goals but in addition to his complete inability to kick he is far too hesitant, always takes a step forward, then half a step back, and then regardless of what he decides to do from there on it's too late.

I said after last week Roberts has been poor and that was the case again today, same as before, no pace which is fine, but does nothing to make up for it. Our defence as a whole is far too slow, we need someone a bit quicker to play in the middle, I'm not sure Legge and Roberts can suceed as a pair.

Keane was piss poor and Hughes wasn't much better, his usual 1 brilliant ball for every 10 garbage ones.

What on earth has Donaldson got to do to get dropped? He's been absolute garbage ever since Man Utd at home, but he will be starting next week.

I'm fast running out of patience with Jordan Slew.

Morrissey has to start next week, and Simpson has to get a run up front. Blyth did mostly all you could expect from him today, no service whatsoever, I bet Ryan Bird got some at Yeovil! Surprise, surprise, much like Elliott on Tuesday, fuck the opposition, let's play to our players' strengths.

We don't have a right winger, so let's not play with wingers, please. Keane holding, Newton and Morrissey in midfield, Berry behind the strikers.

The warning signs were there before today, and it looks like we didn't learn. The key to this will be the reaction to it, it's only August, it could be a positive, my fear under Money is that he'll continue to tinker, and the wrong way, and be far too stubborn to admit where he's wrong, that's just how he is. We have to bounce back next week.

Shit performance, shit opponents managed by a shit manager, shit weather for football, shit atmosphere, shit away following to match, shit tactics, shit formation, shit ref, shit opening goal, shit effort to bring it back, shit result, shit day. All in all, a full bag of shit.

So only answer is to fill my face full of beer to get over it.

In terms of numbers a poor away following, but fairly noisy I thought in comparison with some of our games.
I enjoyed the day and especially the result, with our GK Woodman looking more assured by the game.
Can we play you every week?

Because crowds win games.
I was complimentary to Cambridge before the game, and that won't change now after a positive result.
I won't gloat, but can we play you every week?
I don't mind a big club with a big following talking our club down, but I won't accept the likes of Cambridge doing so.
We are similar sized clubs with a similar size following are we not.
Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season, I still think you will be up there at the end.
