Do you go watch Sudbury? We bought a player from there in the summer.

Very occasionally; it’s actually at the wrong end of town for me and I’ve got the spectacularly awful Cornard United (Step fuck knows) on my doorstep, so I tend to go and laugh at them instead.

It does get a bit embarrasing at times when some of our fans give it large about the supposed size of the club, mainly the younger fans.

Regarding Morecambe. I always had a soft spot for them from their Northern Premier days. Never thought they would ever get to the football league. Fair play to them for surviving so long, as clubs like Notts Co, Chesterfield and Leyton Orient fell through the trapdoor to non league football.

There is a link between the town of Morecambe and the city of Bradford. Going back generations before easy and affordable travel abroad, thousands of Bradfordians regularly holidayed there, and many have retired there, earning Morecambe the nickname of Bradford-by-the-sea over the years.

I do genuinely think Morecambe fans and staff view our visits there as their big one of the season, we have never failed to sell out our allocation, often with many City fans in the home ends. Morecambe always seem to raise their game against us and I expect no difference on Saturday, but on this occasion, I think we will have too much for them, assuming we arent complacent

Why? We shouldn't really be in this division but are and rightly so because of severe mismanagement. Both Sheffields, Leeds, Forest and Man C and now Sunderland have been able to say the same. That is not giving it large, it's stating the obvious. Had the running of our club continued as it was before our "messiahs" turned up, we would not be here and I am belittling no one. I am not one of our younger fans but am 75 years young so thank you for the compliment.

In your lifetime of 75 years, we have spent over 60 of them in the bottom two tiers. All the clubs you mention have spent the vast majority in the top two tiers, so dont get how you compare us.

We maybe the biggest club in league 2 these days, although you may find Plymouth fans will disagree. Still doesnt sit comfortable with me when some fans think we have a devine right to be in a higher league, and disrespect smaller clubs, as I often hear at work with the younger fans

Believe it or not there has been an element of that over the last six months!

Between those that think 'just get behind the lads' and 'happy to have a club to support' types and those that want the club to 'show more ambition' and 'professionalise' the club.

Read my post again. I am not comparing us with the clubs that I mentioned, only what all of us can say. With our recent history, we like them in recent seasons have fallen lower than we should have. I also said we belong where we we are because of poor management, not that we have a divine(devine is one of our players) right to be higher. For what it is worth, I think the likes of Scunny, Vale, Swindon and Plymouth shouldn't be here and what happened to Plymouth and Bristol was ludicrous but it happened due to poor management. If you think I am disrespecting smaller clubs then tough. I have disrespected no one.

I am happy to have a club to support. If Dracula still had his fangs into us we would now be on life support. I am delighted that we seem to be turning things around . When last season ended, I thought half way up the div this year would be success but when I think how we have played so far and are only 3 polnts behind the leaders, my expectations have risen. Please don't interpret this as being disrespectful to others, it aint.

Is that Bantam statue still on that roundabout outside Morrisons supermarket near the old Frontierland site in Morecambe?

Morecambe folk will probably tell you it is a Cockerill. Rumour has it Ken Morrison put it there in honour of his beloved Bradford City!

Rubbish so far, Vaughan day doing nothing sat on the bench, Doyle scoring for Swindon while Donaldson misses sitter number 98 of the season.

Missed 2 sitters and conceded a sloppy goal, although definitely a foul before the corner they scored from which is funny because the ref blew every time they threw themselves to the floor. Still job done good win into the next game, and two home games on the trot.

Blatant foul prior to the corner in AOC being shoved over. Peculiar given the ref was desperate to give Morecambe anything and everything.

Underwhelming performance overall from City though. For twenty minutes if the second half we came out, won it and looked good, but the rest was below par.

I don't know how long I can carry on watching Donaldson miss absolute sitters. Must be the fourth or fifth gilt edges chance he's missed so far this year.
