Sounds like a power struggle between board members it seems, a few differing opinions which can't seem to be straightened out.............

There's a meet the manager event tomorrow which the board are attending. I feel for Bryan Hughes to be fair, as he'll get caught in the middle of a shitstorm.

Our last meet the manager took place on 16th January, 4 days after he'd told Spencer Harris that he no longer wants to manage Wrexham.

I wonder how we made Barrow take the job? Kidnap his dog or something?

I really hope Hughes isn't appalling. It's sad to see ex players brought low, especially good ones like Yozzer.

Graham Barrow stated publicly that he did not want the managers position at Wrexham AFC yet he was appointed on a two and a half year contract, then only 25 days after his appointment on 12th January, he informed the FC board that he wanted to step down.
Not sure why he's included that because Wrexham doesn't strike me as the kinda place where a gun gets pointed at your head. It's quite easy to say 'no'.

Sounds like this might be the first bump small bump in the road for the Trust set-up at Wrexham.

Quick question for the brotherhood here: if Milton Keynes ever end up getting relegated to the Conference, would you accept them into the brotherhood?

No. Like Halifax, they haven't been around long enough to be considered for membership.

Says it all that I don't even remember what game you're on about. You could be making it up for all I know.

Tinpotters seem to always remember things like this against The Brotherhood though.
I remember it coz you celebrated it in exactly the same way as all the other Mickey Mouse teams celebrated winning their Cup Final at The Shay in those days. Even Rossendale United didn't get so excited about it, and they beat us home AND away. :fl:

Yes I would as they've been a football league team for over 10 years. And of course Halifax are an ex football league team -- Whether they've slightly changed there name or not. Just like Bradford PA , Darlington,Gateshead, Southport Etc. All part of the Brotherhood. The Football league didn't start in 1986 either.

By that criterion, we would be part of the Brotherhood and so would Macc Town, Cheltenham, Yeovil Town, Burton Albion and Morecambe if they get relegated from League 2 but it's clear that none of us are part of the Brotherhood.

Besides the entry requirements, I'd never accept Cheltenham in it as I got run over in Tesco car park there by an irate fan once upon a time.

Will phase 1 bring it up to FL standard? Does anyone know the deadline for the club to bring the ground up to standard?

I don't pretend to be an expert, but at most levels you have until the end of March of the season after promotion to match the appropriate ground grading criteria (so, if Solihull got promoted, they'd have until 31st March 2020 to get the ground up to scratch, I think).

I'm not sure whether phase 1 would bring them up to scratch for League 2, but by the sounds of it phase 2 will give them enough (of course, it may not be relevant at that point anyway).

Their stadium is certainly too small, if they want to go up. Especially if they end up playing the like of Notts or Northampton.

Definitely not bankrolled though. They are chucking an entire stand up in a week?

The tinpot thread awaits the pictures..

No inside information but I can guess it will involve moving all our temporary seated tinpot seated stands to the one side as phase one. Improving the one behind the goal terrace to all standing, the main stand to be a full side of seats and then removing the tinpot stand earlier mentioned and building a proper one. Expensive, yes, but not huge bucks bankrolling.

Sounds a bit of a faff. Isn't it easier to just give up the chase instead?

Wouldn't be surprised to see you under orders to ease off, Sutton-style, from here on in. All in the name of avoiding the inevitable RUIN of the club that promotion would bring.

Wishful thinking, you must be worried mate. We will only end up with a 3200 seated 1900 standing (5K Iish) ground so, where we should be according to those throwing tinpot utterances even for this level. If we go up, great, give it at go, no one is deluding themselves but make hay and enjoy, worst case we dont stick but are at a much better base than we were 10 years ago!

Im guessing its bad enough to be at this level when moneyed clubs or ex league clubs snaffle up those ywo promtions year after year, but dont lower yourselves to jealousy when the likes of us threaten, it serisously debases a club that should have more self respect, I respect you plenty, if we manage it I would be elated as no one expects a party that is infinate.

They forgot to put a roof on it. Classic tinpot behaviour.

It came off because in training Adi Yussuf tried a conversion from a wide position, skewed off his foot as he took it and sliced apart the cardboard roof.
