Writing this during this evening's games so no doubt a lot of what I saw will prove incorrect!

Solid starts from the two promoted from NLS - I did worry for Oxford after the first couple of games where they seemed just a little bit short of having enough for the level, but they've started to pick up some decent points and a little unbeaten run going into tonight. Ebbsfleet either win or lose, but they've got plenty to put away enough sides to be comfortable. Different story with the NLN promotees though - Fylde are in freefall, while Kidderminster just don't score enough goals.

Elsewhere big-spending York finally get off the mark with a win, Woking continue their good start with an impressive win at Hartlepool, Bromley are on a roll after a slow start and Chesterfield just keep winning at the top. I've personally seen about half of the league live so far this season and Chesterfield are comfortably the best I've seen, followed by Barnet. I've yet to see Gateshead but they look a really entertaining side based on the highlights packages so I'm looking forward to that - I picked out Wearne as a player I was really excited by for this season so it's not a shock to me that he's contributing heavily with goals and assists.

Off to Southend v Fylde this Saturday coming.

We can confirm that an agreement for the sale of the Club has been reached with a consortium led by Justin Rees. Everyone is working towards a completion date of 1 November 2023, that is when the consortium will formally take control of the Club.

The collaborative approach to agreeing this deal would not have been possible without the support of creditors and the assistance from the Leader of Southend City Council.

We recognise that this has been a stressful time for all associated with the Club. We would like to thank our staff for their incredible loyalty and also thank all our stakeholders for their patience.

Everything in the play-off's in the National League has gone crazy with the news that Gateshead FC have been barred from taking part in this seasons play-off's due to not having a 10-year lease on GIS so they wouldn't be allowed into the EFL, so the play off's look like this
