2 points dropped in what sounds like a horrible performance.

Whenever we seem to get a bit of momentum going we sling in some bollocks to bring everyone back down to earth.

Wasn't 2 points dropped at all, it's a lucky point gained. Notts started well enough for first 15 minutes and missed an absolute sitter with a free header at the backstick. At that stage thought only a matter of time.

After that Maidenhead improved and were the better side up to half time without really doing anything.

Second half, we started slow and got slower. Lost almost every 50:50, and have no idea why the home side who were well on top continued to slow the play down at every opportunity. You aren't winning, you are at home, and you are looking like scoring?!?! What are you doing?

Game should of ended 1-0 to Maidenhead. Wootton dominated the home defence in the air for most of the game , Lacey looked quality and Slocombe produced some nice saves and looked assured Doyle solid and nothing more. Rose poor, Dennis average at best, Saunders very wasteful in possession. Very disappointed in all three.

Same side that strolled to victory at home looked a completely different aide away from Meadow Lane.

Not to blame for the result or our poor performance but that young referee was played like a fiddle by a couple of home players and seemed to favour them in a lot of decisions. But no excuse just an obvious observation

Still 10 from 12 is a pretty damn good return including 3 clean sheets.

Thought you were dire and one of the poorest teams I've seen at York Road this season. I have no idea how Ardley has you playing that badly with your resources.

We really struggle with teams who press us, particularly at some of the smaller grounds/pitches.

What a performance to win 2-0. Talk about digging in deep.

After the Boxing Day Massacre I still couldn't have told you if Yeovil were any good as we were so totally shambolic.

After today I can definitely say they are bloody good! Totally outplayed us in every department despite being down to 10 for 80 minutes.

Having said that we were poor again, second to everything all day and never really looked like getting anything at all.

I reckon Yeovil would have won with 9 quite comfortably.

Barrow and Yeovil both played the majority of their Plainmoor matches a man down and both looked good but Yeovil seem more equipped for the title to me. Big and strong with plenty of experience, Skendl was a real handful and is just the type of "man" we need, too many "boys" in our side.

Thanks for the report. I suppose you can argue about the semantics, but I would always regard not beating Maidenhead, who don’t have a very good home record, as 2 points dropped.

More worrying than that though is the performance, as it doesn’t sound like we were ever in it. My impression is that after a couple of decent results Ardley is the type who thinks he’s cracked it and the intensity goes(if it was ever there in the first place).

After today, does anyone hold out much hope of beating Bromley on Saturday?

I would LOVE it if Fylde got relegated. Outplayed and out fought them again, and finally justice has been done.

And if they do go down I can see their owner losing interest.

The Oystons have left Blackpool now, Fylde are pointless.

Whatever happened between him and Danny Rowe in the summer, turning down his transfer request, it seems to have really upset the apple cart. Now his top player can't be arsed and his team seem rudderless.

Have you been to the ground? All this bollocks about getting promoted to the League in 2022 - relegation this year would knacker that plan.

Pre match definitely two points dropped.
Post match definitely one point gained, a better side than Maidenhead would of won with ease against that performance.

Intensity wasn't the main problem today, but I agree with the level of concern, albeit needs to be viewed of the past 5-6 games

Wasn't at the famous "Shay" in Halifax today but can only go of what I've heard which is pretty poor lighting for selfies.

I have also looked at the stats and can say without hesitation that Halifax put 10 men behind the ball and ground out a 0-0.

Stocky

Ha! Did the stats tell you we had the only chance that looked like winning the game? Out, damned post!

Lighting did you say? Here's the view from the away end:

Thank you Jerry for your very kind words. I thought our performance today was the kind of dig in, all hands on deck display that is needed to do well in this league. I wish you well as I would like to see a strong Seagull side doing well.

I miss their Tuesday and Thursday updates on how many tickets they’d currently sold for that Saturdays away game.
GTFCfish - nice to see that after Evatt wasn't interested in the Grimsby job despite being favourite that you've gone for his mentor Ian Holloway. As Evo joked after yesterday's match - Holloway's gone to you because he love fish and chips....

Kosylo... given that he's already had a 6 game ban this season i'm not sure how many matches he'll get this time.

Unbeaten in 2020 we will piss this tinpot league. Seriously though terrible Xmas which has dragged us right in the shit of an outside chance of going down to really struggling to stay up. Bottom 3 are really looking useless so looks like a fight for final spot and at this stage we look favourites.

Taylor has completely screwed us and the last time we left it too late to sack the manager we got relegated. Torquay on saturday is a big game.

the AGM Cup - known for 1 season as the "Thanks Bury" AGM Cup might save you if you finish 4th bottom.

Craig Dundas has now scored for Sutton in three different decades, the 00s, 10s and now the 20s. What a guy
was he the guy with the "big hair" that came on late against Yeovil and who has been on your books 4 times?

He was always a walking time bomb. Jack Redshaw gives us everything Kosylo gave us on the pitch, and more. 10 times better! Glad to see Kosylo's got rid of the girly pony tail though. :ds:

I gave credit for last week's battering at EP to Halifax, so it's only fair I lay the blame at County's door for failing to pick up another comprehensive win yesterday. Dominated the first half and should've been two or 3 up at half time, couldn't put anything away though; second half starts in similar fashion, but then we take off Walker and lose momentum, even let the home get the better chances of the game (though it takes a lot more to beat Hinchliffe).

Have to give special mention for Halifax Town's likely inability to organise an actual p##s-up in a brewery, since their idea of providing drinks for 1,485 away fans appeared to be literally 10 boxes of Heineken bought from the nearest Bargain Booze, sold from a hastily set-up table. I went down to queue up ten minutes before the break and by the time I got served I was able to get 3 of the last 8 bottles served frothily into a plastic glass. The other 40-50 people I could see behind me in the queue were not going to be happy.

Yee-haa, a bit of entertainment at last. A dull first half, not a single sot from either side, suddenly enlivened by a beautiful classy goal from Chislett. Second half, both sides went for it, in their own different ways. Eastleigh pretty much rely on dead-ball goals, and to be fair, are good at it. Shots are busy , without any effective strikers, our best attackers as usual coming from midfield. Eastleigh have a lumbering defence, and should be easy pickings for any team with pace.
Things coming together for Shots, but if/when we lose Chislett, we may well struggle to escape the drop zone.
