Tuesday 3rd October:
Aldershot v Dagenham
Boreham Wood v Eastleigh
Chester v Woking
Fylde v Gateshead
Halifax v Wrexham
Guiseley v Macclesfield
Hartlepool v Barrow
Maidstone v Bromley
Solihull v Ebbsfleet
Sutton v Dover
Torquay v Maidenhead

Wednesday 4th October:
Tranmere v Leyton Orient

Really fancy us tonight, Barra haven't won away yet (kiss of death) and these are the teams we should be beating at home if we are semi serious of challenging at the right end of the league, Tomi Adeloye signed yesterday and is eligible to play, not sure he starts like but could be a surprise starter, only downside is the probable return of the Laing and Harrison comedy duo at centre back.

We can't win 3 games in a row (can anyone this year...?) so will probably lose. Cox has had about a month there now so I assume all the players are at least 6 ft 4 by now.

Good luck to the 100 or so Orient fans who will be attempting to negotiate 3 separate rail closures and strikes for a televised game miles away which got moved after they’d all booked tickets and hotels for the wrong day.

Win tonight and we're halfway to the magic 50 point mark. Insane.

Under Cox we'd probably have held tight and maybe nicked a 1-0 win from a set-piece. I don't think we've currently got the players or tactics to play for a draw - could be a real pasting, I'm afraid.

We always win at Chester, it's THE LAW.

Looking forward to seeing Railway Blue's big walk out in the 62nd minute.

Gateshead assistant Lee Norgan to take charge of the side at AFC Fylde tonight as Neil Aspin is in advanced talks with Port Vale.

Lewis Freestone - left back on a 1 month loan from Posh.
Mike Fondop - striker for the rest of the season.

I don't know them so will have to play it by ear. Presumably they are both physical giants.

Thats non league for you. How difficult would it be for the national league to bring the fixtures and televised games out earlier?
Suspect Tranmere will get their lowest ever National league attendance for this fixture, with the game being televised, public transport up the wall and poor home performances. My car is off the road so i'm unlikely to make it.

Well according to Kent Online Fondop is 6 ft 3 so he's taller than any of our players (and taller than Durrell on Hodgkiss's shoulders)

Bromley for us, did us over with ease both times last season so a little revenge would be nice.

Nah, it won't be a pasting. We are too defensive minded. If you do set up defensively, there's a good chance you will nick it 1-0. As Chief Rocka mentioned, we have the two liabilities back in at centre back tonight which will gurantee you a goal. We don't create anywhere near enough chances, hopefully one of the new lads has their shooting boots on.

3rd v 1st at Gander Green Lane tonight. We don't have a good record against Dover at home, so I'm not expecting much

Maybe luck has finally gone our way and our previously bereft of confidence players will turn the corner with the return of Ben Tollitt and some new signings. It's a very weak league this year and if we get back to anything like how we played in March/April we will quickly be in the top few spots.

That said our season so far has been a story of wasted chances and that lack of confidence.

Our back three is made up of two teenagers and a Conference South reject, so there's mistakes in there too. Having started every game (I think) as a 5-3-2, I can't see that changing. And because of having no wingers, we're not creating chances either.

Let's call it a 0-0 draw then.

Third signing - winger Andy Howarth
Am I correct in thinking he's not so well regarded? He seems to have been swapping clubs rather alot recently.

Last seen playing for ourselves funnily enough where he hardly got a look in. Tall wingers aren't really something Askey specialises in so it was a bit of a weird signing for us and it ended disappointingly. If he plays for you tonight then it will be the second time in a row where he has made his debut for his new club against the one he's just left.

On another note, Danny Whitaker makes his 400th appearance for us tonight. Great achievement and cements his position as a real Silkmen legend
