was it a straight red card for their player or 2 yellow cards?

Two yellows. He was a bit unlucky to be fair, one of those 50/50s that he was just a fraction late to, but Michael Cheek should’ve had about four second yellows so whatever.

Well we changed things around at half-time and managed to equalise halfway but as so often, we failed to push on.
Halifax defended very well and were still dangerous on the break. Our team do a lot of things right but they’re just missing that extra bit of quality that finishes teams off.

The only way Barra aren’t going to win the league is if someone pinches Evatt.

Not sure where to start with the Ebbsfleet game...
1st 5-10 mins Ebbsfleet looked better than their league position and dangerous going forward, then Barrow got their passing working.
White scored with a tap in from 6 yards after Quigley broke into the box 1-0
Quigley then spun round Jack King, got hauled down and as King was last man he got a straight red. Rooney put the free kick into the top left corner from 30 yards 2-0.
after that it was just men against boys. Quigley got the 3rd from a Brad Barry cross, so 3-0 at HT.
Rooney then hit the bar, before Dyson who must be one of our smallest players headed in a Hardcastle cross for 4-0. Quigley got his 17th of the season from 6 yards after Hindle set him up 5-0. Rooney then scored with another free kick going bottom right this time, before Hardcastle hit the bar. Rooney rounded things off in the 89th min with his hat-trick and 15th goal of the season from 14 yards.
The ref felt sorry for Ebbsfleet and didn't play any injury time 2nd half.

I don’t know if it’s a little harsh to say Bromley made Solihull look like Barca Jacob, I thought they mixed it up quite well, direct but could play a bit too - was particularly impressed by Coulson, thought he looked very tidy on the ball. Cheek was a nuisance too and took his goal well, but could have also seen red, as Jacob said. Think they’ll feel pretty hard done by not to have come away with at least a point after being pretty dominant for periods, although if Rose had made it 2-0 from the spot that would probably have been game over after half an hour. Still, another very pleasing win, would definitely have lost that a few months back.

2-1 massively flattered Wrexham today. If we had our shooting boots on and not stopped trying to score in the last 10 minutes we could have had 6 or 7.

Not just half chances, im talking a header straight at the keeper from 3 yards, missing an open goal from 2 yards and squaring a pass to a player who ended up offside. Those were the three worst misses but there were a couple more we should have done better with too.

Wrexham were woeful, and didn't really create anything until they scored in the 93rd minute.

10 points from 12 over the Christmas/New Year period which has put us into midtable mediocrity (for now).

The false dawn of 3 victories over 3 poor sides has been all but confirmed.

Be very surprised if we finish higher than 10th, unless we sign a striker.

Given our budget, which must be top 5, it shows how much of a shambles we are that we cannot field a single striker other than one recalled from NLS, who is then hauled off at half time with us needing a goal.

Maybe it was the long throw bombardment. They’re clearly good at what they do, but it was a stressful game to watch let alone play in.

Should of been a draw today at Meadow Lane but also should of been a draw in the game down in Bromley.

So both clubs should be happy with the 3pts instead of just 2.

Good battling committed performance from Notts which is what we all want and deserve to see, even if the quality is limited.

Oh yeah they absolutely peppered our box with balls in, from open play, set pieces and throw-ins, but I thought we dealt with it pretty well, bar a couple of scares. Slocombe, Lacey, Rawlinson and McCrory were excellent. I can’t recall Bromley having any real gilt-edges chances - just a hell of a lot of scrambles in the box or ricochets from the edge. Shout out to young Sam Osborne with another two assists as well.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see both us and Bromley in the playoffs come April, but can’t see either catching Barrow.

That’s John Still’s signings for you. Think of how many he signed who are currently AWOL.

We somehow managed a clean sheet and a win although Sutton getting upset because their players not allowed to push the ball over the line with his hands was funny

Thought Bromley were a class above Solihull today, Solihull are dire to watch.
A slightly fortunate win but as Jacob says Bromley were a bit one dimensional with loads of crosses going in although their goal was a class finish and not from a cross.
If the penalty went in it may have been a different game. Our midfield sits very deep and invites pressure, on another day we don't get the three points.

Bromley don't have a game before the 18th [only kent cup]
Bush should get an extra game for his 2nd red card

Still my one worry that - Doyle and Rose are good players but can get overrun by younger, quicker midfields, particularly teams who play three in there. O’Brien getting fit again would be a huge boost.

Not that he'll be a big miss - absolute donkey whenever I've seen him play.

No, wasnt overly impressed with him either, could have seen red earlier for an assault on Boldewijn that the ref didn’t even give as a foul. Extremely long throw though!

Good luck to the media department when creating 'highlights' for the game today. Solihull clearly came for a point when they began noticeably time-wasting after 5 minutes. Our long ball tactics played straight into their hands and the most disappointing thing was if they had any ambition at all Solihull could easily have beaten Yeovil today, but instead were happy to suck all the life from the game and gamble on us not scoring. Second game of the season for the missus today, she'll need a fair bit of convincing before I can get her to come back again I'd think.

Defensively if you look at Bromley with or without Bush you'll see their record is far better with him in the team. So on that basis i hope he is out against us.

Never have I witnessed two sets of very poor strikers who between them messed up at least 10 very good chances. I’m so glad the bottom three are shocking as we don’t have the goals to stay up in a normal season. New manager will go all out for a new striker I’m sure.

I would have brought Crawford on and sacrificed either a winger or Thomas to give us the extra man in the middle who can hold it and move it along.
Sounds very churlish after 13 from 15 but it's been a consistent weakness.

he’s a complete dick as well. Spent most of the game against us diving, squealing and trying to get our players sent off.

Wow. Just listened to Flowers' interview and the first thing out of his mouth is 'a very very good performance' and 'no doubt we should have won the game'. Really?! Neither team deserved a point from that monstrosity! God help Solihull fans if that's what passes for a good performance in his eyes and warrants the 2-0 scoreline he claims they deserved.
