Must admit as well the Tranmere forum made for good reading, not winning at "a place like Torquay" or putting 5 past us seems to be end of the world for some supporters. I don't think we'll be turning heads this season but I'd like to think we have a lot more bottle and experience than we've had in previous seasons.
They don't speak for the majority of us. They're just internet kids full of naivety and arrogance.

The rest of us know we're just as tinpot as you these days...

I'm right in saying there are separate shows for NL, North and South this season? Or the latter two only on YouTube?

You've always been seen as tinpot in my eyes after you rested your first XI and lost to MK Dons on the last day of 2004/05, which saw us relegated from the heady heights of League One. Feels like a bloody lifetime away!!

Ha, regardless of a club's size or history as soon as they enter this fantastic league they become tinpot. But in all seriousness I think Tranmere's quality did show on Saturday and without a doubt you'll be up there come the end of the season.

Tell me about it. Perversely, I'm following Tranmere way more these days than I was then. Maybe I feel more connected now half our players have the same tubby physique that I do...

Says it all really when you were 150 yards away in the away end could see a decision that the lino 10 feet away couldn't get right, I've seen substitutes forced to lino Sunday league matches perform better.

You were the better team yesterday for me and deserved the win, a lot more physical than us and seemed well drilled, those two nippy wingers looked dangerous, just needed to work on their delivery a bit better, really should've been 2-0 if not for your lad fluffing his lines through on goal towards the end, as for our chances they were mostly half attempts and one goal mouth scramble, wasn't much to really get excited about sadly.

I was stood in line with the Lino and their defender looked a good foot away from heading the ball.

We've had far worse referees over the past few years than on Saturday, although the penalty at the end was as blatant as you're ever likely to see and wasn't given.

I would report on Bromley vs Eastleigh from Saturday, but apart from a chance each with headers, nothing happened.

[QUOTE="Redbank, post: 652679,, Ref seemed out of he depth and the header that for a corner , that they gave a goal kick for was classic , the ref and the lino , just looked at each other, not knowing what to do, early days yet , and I think HU will come good at some time,

I hope that's on the 'highlights' on Poolsplayer,it'll give me another chuckle.

Second half we were better, although it can't have been much worse than the first. From my view it looked a stonewall pen for Kelly, about to shoot and is tripped from behind; would have to see again.

Just seen it on the highlights, it's a great tackle to poke the ball away just in the nick of time. A match winning tackle really because someone as good as Kelly would have scored from that position, he was about to drill it low into the far corner.

Yea looks like he just about toes the ball away. The offside-goal looks the correct decision too, so far play to the officials for not being completely shit for once i guess.

They only give the good refs out when two ex league giants are against each other.

I love it when the relegated league sides have all their pre season hubris knocked out of them.

It didn't happen to us the first match, we beat Stevenage 5-0...just most matchesafter
Hubris?

Every Orient fan has been saying we will be pleased to stave off relegation, with potential for a late top half finish push once our team of strangers begins to gel.
