Unreal that Chipmunx has posted here just to willy wave about being the best team in dropping points from winning positions.

Barrow are the best at EVERYTHING.
Oh FFS - just seen the League 2 relegation thread too...

Myself and the other Barrow fan (Matty) are gonna come in for some serious collateral pisstaking when we end up getting knocked out of the play-offs by Hartlepool.

No point in opening up a new thread for one game (maybe these threads should be titled w/C unless there is a full midweek fixture list).
But anyway....

Fylde v Notts County today...
But more than likely P-P due to the wind!

Yep forecast looks pretty awful for the NW this afternoon/evening - can definitely see a P-P

Oh my god I’ve just looked, he’s been up there for weeks getting excited.

There’s actually one post where he states who he prefers to get relegated out of that league so Barrow don’t have to play them next season.

5:30pm pitch inspection and doubtful game will go ahead.
Only takes 2 hours 30 from Notts to get there. Who did the math on the inspection time!

Game off, less than 2 hours before kick off, with many fans already en route/approaching the Fylde area, despite anyone who looked at the weather forecast in the last 24 hours being able to predict such an outcome.

Bit tinpot.

Meh, people would be equally annoyed if they’d called it off on the basis of the forecast and then it didn’t rain. One of those things, people can see the forecast and travel at their own risk, I’ve done it before and been done.

That said, they could easily have said something when they looked at the pitch at 2pm and it was apparently just about okay but with more rain forecast but didn’t even say there was an inspection until about an hour ago, which is a bit shit.

Usual outrage. I get it's annoying when you're travelling away but you'd be just as pissed off if the game had been called off at 2pm and the weather for the remainder of the day then turned out to be okay.

The weather's actually fine in this area of the country anyway, no rain and barely any wind. Blackpool's game against Reading is on tonight.

Genuinely shitting myself at the thought of it.

I thought Haythornthwaite would have done the pitch inspection himself.

Can't win either way with a late pitch inspection. Hartlepool had a 5 and a half hour trip down to us only to have it called off late in the FA Cup (despite both sets of players happy to play), whereas Chesterfield-Yeovil went ahead after a delay, only for 2 of their players to slip in the conditions and suffer long-term injuries.

It might be annoying for the away club after a long journey, and for the home club for lost revenue, but ultimately the safety of the players is key.
