The optimism is back at Barrow - some even talking about play-offs now.
Saturday we'll see if it's all misplaced.

We played really well against Aldershot, and a similar performance would see us beat any side in this division. Obviously it doesn't work like that, but it's clear to see that we've got the players in place and all that's been missing is the effort.

Grant Holt in training, and should be on the bench for Saturday - his presence alone will bring in our biggest crowd of the season.

Nope. Don’t know how many we’ve sold.

It won’t be as good as shit.

Big game for us. We are pretty much without our first choice back 4. Infact, we are without our second choice back 4. Can't see how we are going to win to be honest. Definitely gift Boreham atleast one goal. Probably 3 if Scott Harrison plays. We may sneak a goal if Franks turns up. Hopefully Cassidy will be back on the bench for a cameo.

Suspect a comfortable 2-0 home win.

I'm with you on this, no Donnelly, Magnay, Ledger, or Watson and the return of the keystone cops pairing in defence I really fear the worst for us on Saturday, which is a kick in the nuts as we were finally beginning to hunt down the top 6.

Doesn't take a lot this season given there you need to finish to get in!

Six straight away wins up against a struggling Torquay side, so I’m as confident as can be in winning an away game. Of course we’ll likely come unstuck after the show we put on at Cheltenham but oh well. COYS

First away day of the season, hopefully we move over 60% of the way to survival with only 40% of the season gone.

We always win at FC Halifax Town - it's the law. Same as Chester.

Bigger fish to fry with the FA Cup on Tuesday so that's our excuse if we lose.

I doubt we'll sell more than 500, with the game being on TV and the fact we haven't won in 2+ months - Plus its all ticket for us, which is understandable given that your away end has an 800 cap I believe. We'd have probably sold all the tickets had it been a 3pm KO and not on TV.

Our team shows fight, but they're poorly lead by an idiot in charge, we pushed Gillingham last week and on another day would've got a replay.

We're missing our main goal threat MaCauley Bonne who is away with Zimbabwe, so no doubt the snail pairing of Matt Harrold and the useless carthorse David Mooney will be our front pairing.

I wouldn't mind us getting Quiche* in as our new manager once Davis is finally sacked for failing to ever win a game again. Quiche* was a decent squad player for us ten years ago and it was our current DOF who gave him his debut in the professional game, never expected him to be a manager! He's done a good job at Ebbsfleet.

NB - *Quiche is code name for Daryl McMahon, its what we called him ten years ago as an old forum in joke. Those were the days.

Yep, me too. I feel a losing streak coming on now.
Same story every season. Start well then end up near the top. Have a bad streak. Askey moan about lack of funds. Players leave. Struggle to score goals. Set up defensive at home. Miss out on play offs. Release the whole squad. Repeat.

Not looking forward to tomorrow at all. Mostly because I've got to go to Barrow, but the expectation of us losing isn't helping.

Had this weird dream last night. Was in some unfamiliar pub discussing lower league footy and telling this guy I'd never seen before how there are 3 clubs playing in amber colours in L2 this year. He then told me you lot better change your colours then as there'll be five from next season with Maidstone winning the title and Sutton winning the play off final at Wembley. Needless to say, I took exception to the suggestion of us changing our colours

Say, Vanni, I don't suppose there's any history of prophetic dreams in your family....?

Haha, the answer is no sadly, though back in the summer of 2013 I told my mates I was pretty sure we were going up that season together with Luton and I got that one spot on!

In this case though, it wasn't my prediction. This chap was chastising me for not knowing that your lot and Sutton had won promotion to the FL! OTOH, I don't usually dream about footy related stuff so who knows if it's an omen ;)

Lost our last two home games v Daggers. Aside from the long-term injuries, Mellon's got a full squad to chose from. Probably a score-draw.

Which Daggers team will turn up? Which Tranmere team will turn up?
Given our away form Tranmere might just edge it. A win could kick start our so far stuttering season.
